The HELMET guy at the races-Dave w/ Helmet Runner

Our business started in 1998 when Russ Garrison with Bell Pro Police helmets asked me if I would be intersted in selling Bell Moto 6 Showtime IV helmets at the AMA Outdoor Nationals in Washogal, WA. I had just finished building Russ' house and thought it would be fun to do something different to make some spare cash. 		 

Lucky for me at the race that week-end they gave me a booth next to the giant Spy orange semi-truck. On Sunday the track announcer let everyone know that Jeremy McGrath would be signing autographs at the Spy trailer. Within a few hours i sold one hundred McGrath helmets to his fans. This was WAY better than building houses, I was hooked!
