My name is Kim Bakker. Thanks for visiting my  page. After I retired, my wife and I took up RV'ing to travel a bit and see some of our great Country. When I started looking for accessories that go with trailering, I decided I didn't want to pay over $100 for wheel chocks but I wanted something that was effective! I came up with a design for these chocks.
My best friend Roger came over one afternoon and I showed him what I had made. His words were "Man you gotta find a way to market those." I started selling them on eBay in June of 2004. Chatham Chockswere born. The original design has gone through some modification and refinements to make them better, and since that time we have sold more than 400 sets on ebay! Why spend well over $100 for when you can do it for about half that amount?
Ok so what makes Chatham Chocks any better than a commercially made product?
#1. Value! You can spend well over twice as much for a mass produced chock that does the same thing. We have had repeat customers buy sets for family and friends after they use these chocks and show them to others.
#2. Ease of use! Once you set Chatham Chocks up the first time you don't need a wrench, rod, wing-nut, or some type of crank to install them. You set them in place, flip the lever, and your wheels are locked from turning! Easy to put on and easy to remove. Takes seconds to do.
#3. Strength! This design give you four points of contact on your tires, two high and two low. The physics principals of this design causes your tires to work against one another giving a SOLID lock up.
#4. Durability! Chatham Chocks are made from all new materials, the chock blocks themselves are presssure treated 4 x 4 pine. The same stuff that ~in ground~ deck footings are made from. WIth minimal care they will easily outlast your RV. They are spray painted red to match the binders used. The painting offers some additional protection to the wood but it's main purpose is to be a visible reminder to remove the chocks when you prepare to move your trailer.
You probably spent a LOT of money getting the trailer that was 'just right' for your needs. Why settle for a mass produced universal product to stabilize it?
