Purchasing Postal Vehicles
Due to a recent restructure, effective May 31, 2002, the Philadelphia Purchasing and Materials Service Center has been transformed into the Vehicle Category Management Center. Our office is responsible for vehicle acquisitions and disposals, and vehicle-related contracting only. We will no longer be conducting sales of philatelic and retail items, or excess postal equipment.
In order to provide opportunities to a larger public audience, we are using eBay to sell excess vehicles. In addition, sales to dispose of postal vehicles are periodically conducted locally to foster community involvement and reduce handling and transportation costs. We will assist parties interested in making purchases within their geographic area.
