Welcome to Ana's Tidy Corner Hello Everyone! Welcome. I have read eBay for Dummies, and am feeling far more confident these days on eBay. I highly recommend this book to you whether you are a "newbie" or not. I plan to clean out my closets and de-clutter my house. Like many of you, I have all kinds of neat things stuffed away, unused, in every spare corner of my house. I want to "tidy" my house but I don't necessarily want to add to the landfills. I am sure that in my auctions there will be treasures for everyone. I will be using eBay as my "Virtual Garage Sale". I finally took the plunge and started selling. It took me a long time to get the nerve to actually do this. I am very timid about trying new things, but once I do, I usually jump in with both feet! As I mentioned above, I need to de-clutter my home, but being instinctively a pack rat (married to a pack rat, and gave birth to a pack rat), this has turned out a very difficult thing to do. I think I will start with some books and work my way up to the knick-knacks. I may even have enough nerve to go through my yet to be unboxed wedding gifts (I have been married for 20 years!) and get rid of all the stuff I will never use (or more likely have several duplicates of). There is still hope for me and my home. I have discoved the FlyLady from flylady.net. She helps you to learn to declutter, organize, and clean your home so it will stop suffering from CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). I highly recommend her site to you, as well as the savingdinner.com site (check out the sample weekly mailer). Saving Dinner site can send you a weekly menu, shopping list, and recipes to help cut down on the fuss of dinner making. For those who are interested in my artwork and would like to know more about me: I have been an artist most of my life but gave it up for a while and only restarted doing my artwork a few years ago. I am a portrait, avian, and wildlife artist. Most of my work is done in either coloured pencil or graphite pencils on 90lb white stonehenge art paper. I tend to work in 8" x 10" because it is a conventional size for pre-fab framing, and I can carry the work around with me to different parts of the house to work on. However, I have been known to work smaller and larger as well. I enjoy doing ACEOs. They are very relaxing. You can see more of my artwork at the link below.
