Contacting Us:
We do our best to describe our items without writing a book on them. But we do realize that some of our  customers need or want more details. Our hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday, Eastern US Time Zone (standard or daylight savings - which ever is in effect). We are closed every Sunday and some Holidays.
Email and phone inquiries will be replied to during our hours of operation only and in the order we receive them. At times there may be a delay in a response. This will be due to request volume. Email sent after our hours of operation will be addressed the following business day.
Our auction business took off faster then we could have hoped for and we thank all of our customers for being a part of a great thing for all of us!
Payment Requirements:
Most of our customers are true pleasures to deal with! But as with everything else, there are always the few that feel the rules don't apply to them and never pay for the auctions they've won.
Because of this we have established the policy where we must receive your payment within 7 days from the end of an auction or we will re-list the item and proceed with the non-paying bidder action that advocates. Sorry to say that sellers have to do this, and many do, but it isn't fair to the customers who pay on time when others feel they may wait for several weeks or not pay at all. Appropriate feedback will be given in each case.
Payment Options:
We accept PayPal, Certified Checks and Money orders. If you are picking the item up at our store we accept cash, money orders, certified checks and credit cards.
We can not process credit cards over the phone or via email.
Escrow:
If you want Escrow then your request for Escrow must be in writing, with a certified or Notarized signature. Emails and faxes will not be accepted as a request or an agreement. Your written request must state that you agree to ALL of the following terms:
- You must agree to pay all costs, including our collection and payment costs (usually $20.00 USD) and a $15.00 processing fee.
- We will not split Escrow fees.
- The evaluation period for an Escrowed shipment will be 5 days.
- We will use Escrow.com unless you are willing to pay all costs for us to open an account elsewhere.
- Cary Jewelry and Pawn reserves the right to decline the request for change in agent and/or for Escrowed sale.
If you will not accept these term, please don't ask for the purchase to be Escrowed.
Returns and Our Warranty:
We have a Seven Day guarantee on everything we sell online. When you get your item, please inspect it immediately for damage or missing items. We cannot and will not be responsible for any problem you find after a week's time unless you have notified us of this Within One Week of receiving it. Please do not ask or expect us to accept video games or movies for replacement or refund unless it is within this time limit or they are defective. If defective, we will refund your shipping charges both ways. If not defective but we have somehow mis-represented the item, or you have bid in error, we may refuse to take it back, or require you to pay a 10% Relisting Fee. We will not refund shipping unless the item is defective or we have been negligent in some way.
In order to return any item we require an email us to explaining the problem, and to obtain a Return Authorization Number or "RA" number. The RA number must be visible on the outside of the box. When we receive your item back, we will review the contents. If it is intact and the return is legitimate, we will cheerfully give you a refund. Please do not return the item before you contact us, or without the RA number as it will seriously delay any refund or exchange that you might be entitled to. Also, we are not responsible for damage done to the item after you receive it. Damage in shipping will be handled by Shipper, and your refund will be sent as soon as they review the case and issue the insurance reimbursement.
Shipping Rates and Instructions:
Our Shipping Methods:
We have a minimum shipping charge of $6.00. Small flat items, such as DVD, Video Games, CD's, and similar media items, where the minimum shipping charge applies may be sent via United States Postal Service Priority Mail or UPS at our discretion. All other items will be shipped via UPS without exception. We require a signature of receipt for all shipping regardless of the method shipped.
We are registered UPS shippers. UPS seems to be higher priced than the United States Postal Service, but once you add up all the costs involved UPS is actually cheaper and easier to deal with.
UPS rates include insurance (up to $100.00), delivery conformation and tracking where the rates you will find on the USPS web site do not, they are all an extra charge and extra labor to complete. Additionally UPS charges a weekly pick up charge which is a small fraction of what USPS charges for pick up service.
Once all the various aspects are considered and added up, UPS is actually cheaper overall.
Handling:
We include a small handling fee to cover the cost of our shipping clerks, and the materials used. We try to be as fair as possible on these charges, but they may be higher than someone selling out of their home or using other methods for shipping.
We can quote our handling charges up front for UPS shipping because we know all the costs up front, where we don't with USPS. The UPS shipping software they will email you the tracking number as soon as we process your item. The web based USPS system does not and we then must manually send the tracking information. That time adds up.
Shipping Address:

We will not ship to an APO, PO Box or Military Base!!!
We require signature of receiving and cannot get a signature from a PO Box.
Absolutely no exceptions will be made!!!
UPS CANNOT deliver to an APO, PO Box or Military Base!!!
If the address you have listed in eBay and PayPal is a PO Box, APO or on a Military Base, please included the following information with your payment;
- The item number
- Name being shipped to
- Address (not a PO Box) including:
- Street address
- City
- Territory/Province/State
- Country
- Zip/Postal Code
- Whether the address is a business or residential address
Alaska and Hawaii:
The shipping rates to Alaska and Hawaii are extremely high. Expect your shipping costs to be upwards from $30 to $100 depending on the item. If you bid and win, then refuse to pay these prices, you will be reported to as a non-paying bidder.
International Bids:
NO BIDS outside of the USA we will accepted!
Sales Tax and Jurisdiction:
All purchases of items either picked up at our store or shipped to North Carolina addresses must add 7% of the item price for NC State Sales Tax.
All agreements and communications will be governed under the Laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable United States Federal Laws.
Multiple Purchases:
We will combine shipping for winners of multiple items if ALL of the following apply;
- They all will fit in one box and the combined weight does not exceed 70 lbs.
- They will all fit in one box and the combined size does not exceed a combined length of 102 inches (L+W+D).
- The total insured value is $100.00 or less.
The pricing of a combined shipment is as follows. The highest shipping charge of all items applies fully. For the remaining items subtract $3.00 off the 2nd, 3rd, etc.. auction's shipping charges.
If you want several auctions combined please send us an email requesting the combining of your auctions. In that email list, by item number, of all the auctions you want combined.
If the total value is above $100.00 additional insurance charges will apply.
US Shipping Rates:
The rates listed by the shipping calculator in each auction ad are what we will invoice the winning bidder for. Insurance is included for the first $100.00 (USD). Additional insurance will be added for items over $100.00 (USD) at $1.00 per addition $100.00 (USD) of item price.
