Hi !!!
First a little about me.
I am a retired educator -- elementary teacher and principal.
My wife, Vi, and I have been married for 50 years. We have 7 children, 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
I have been on Ebay since 1999 and still enjoy the experience of buying and selling on ebay. An added plus is the extra income I derive from it. It really helps out our retirement income.
I do most of my selling from September thru May. In the summer months we enjoy fishing and camping by ourselves and with our children and grandchildren. It's great fun to see the grandkids pull those fish in.

I rarely use reserve auctions (I don't like them but occasionally I do use them.) and I rarely bid on reserve auctions no matter how low the starting price.
The starting price I place is one that I'm willing to live with and I'm happy when someone bids on it. I'm really happy when the price keeps going up!! So bid with confidence on GreatGrandpa's Auction.
PAYMENT POLICY:
Ebay now requires that we take paypal or other credit card service only.
SHIPPING POLICY SHIPPING COSTS ARE STATED IN THE SHIPPING SECTION OF THE LISTING OR BY USING THE SHIPPING CALCULATOR. HOW I ARRIVE AT THOSE COSTS IS OUTLINED BELOW. On occasion I have forgotten to place the shipping cost or weight in the auction. If you should notice this please bring it to my attention so I can correct it.
On items that cannot be shipped via media mail I prefer to ship priority mail as that is often close to the cost of parcel post. I add $1.00 to the base shipping rate to cover the cost of DELIVERY CONFIRMATION and packing. This is automatically figured in so you do not have to add it on.
The choice of parcel post or priority is the customers choice. Parcel post is often much slower so keep that in mind.
I offer media mail rate for anything that qualifies for media mail rate AND STATE THAT AMOUNT IN THE AUCTION. MUCH MUCH CHEAPER BUT IT IS SLOW!!!!
On very light items I will ship first class and add a little for packing and delivery confirmation, this is usually around $1.00. Delivery confirmation is now available for first class but there are thickness requirements. An envelope does not qualify unless stuffed to a certain thickness.
Insurance is optional for all items shipped to a U.S. zip code. On foreign shipments insurance may be an option depending on method of shipment.
Occasionaly my calculation for shipping may be off slightly. Whether it is more or less, I charge what is stated in the auction. If there is a large discrepancy in favor of the customer I will refund.
I now ship via UPS at the customers request on most items. The UPS rates I have to charge are not necessarily the cheapest ones due to the fact that I am not a regular pickup point and I have to request a special at home pickup.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
I do accept returns for valid reasons and will refund if item is returned in same condition as when sold.
I will not refund due to damage in transit or damage or alteration by buyer.
Shipping charges are not refunded unless there is an error in the listing or the item was not as described.
