I started trading on eBay back in March 1999 when I decided I wanted to get a new Apple Macintosh computer to replace my aging Powerbook 2300c laptop. In my experience at eBay I have found a lot of folks that have been a pleasure to trade with. In way over 2000 items I have sold I have had less than 30 bad sales. I think that says a lot for this venue. I mostly specialize in items related to photography & paper goods, but often have other treasures as well up for sale. I recently have started branching out into other product to try listing. One of my big pet peeves is shipping. I ONLY charge what it takes for shipping. This is my quest in trading here and I have kept to it most of the time. I think it is silly to post a $2 item and then charge $3.65 to ship it when you could just as easily pop it into a small bubble wrap envelope for $1.50. I do realize there are many items which are heavy and will cost more, but I am talking about things like a postcard or a map or a lens cap. About the Gushin I think it helps when you know a little bit about who you are buying from...I live in Dallas, Texas and am 49 years old and happily married with 3 wonderful stepsons. In January, 2001 I started going to Richland Community College to get a 2nd degree in Multimedia Web development. I have since graduated, had a great job doing full time web design for 2 years and am now doing freelance web design. I love to work on either of my 2 computers (one a powerbook G4 and one a 24" iMac), collect cameras, flash bulbs, maps, postcards, marbles, dice and contemporary glass. Photography is my main hobby. I have had a break from eBay since august of 2005, but am now putting up a few auctions in my spare time.
