Stuff you see listed below is the result of a comprehensive (and ongoing) purge of over 30 years worth of semi-obsessive record collecting. I do this as a sideline, not fulltime, but I like to think the level of service is pretty high.
Most of the items have been played seldom and stored well. Yeah, I'm one of those geeks who usually plays an LP once or twice, tapes it, then shelves it in a polybag. I also sell a lot of new/unplayed items that were purchased wholesale.
I'm honest in my description of items and have a reputation for packing stuff a bit too well-- check out my feedback.
Speaking of feedback-- after ten years, and out of more than eighteen hundred entries and over 4000 packages delivered with no fuss, four people who won items I was selling have deigned to award me negative feedback. You can find the real story behind these episodes beneath the feedback grid below.

)Since joining eBay, I've sent about 4000 packages out with over 1600 unique feedback entries-- and four bad ratings. Here's the truth behind the latter.
1)
This person bought an LP from me around 6/23/05. PayPal payment arrived and I sent the LP to the address in the UK two days later. On 7/14 he emailed to say it hadn't arrived, and I immediately responded and said that perhaps the US 4th of July holiday may have delayed it, but to let me know if it still didn't arrive. He emailed back thanking me for the info. On 7/25 he sent an email saying the LP hadn't arrived, and asked for tracking info. Since he hadn't requested it be sent Registered, there was none. On 7/26 he posted negative feedback. After that I refunded his money. I'm assuming the bad feedback was because I hadn't returned his email in less that 14 hours, or something.

8/24/04 entry: This person was contacted multiple times after the conclusion of the auction. Each email bounced. I did not receive any of the four emails he/she claims to have sent me. I opened a non-payment procedure via Ebay and went through the usual steps. After 6 weeks I heard nothing. I decided the transaction was null, and filed for credit on the non-purchase and doled out negative feedback. The buyer reciprocated, using "left neg feedback on me" as a reason for his/her negative feedback and terming me a 'bad seller'. Any sensible person looking at my feedback before and since might conclude otherwise.

This person was high bidder on a KillRockStars compilation CD. He sent a check for payment dated 11/29/00 that I received on 12/4/00, for an auction that had ended on 11/08. Late payment, but I didn't complain. I held the check for 14 days to make sure it cleared and sent his merchandise on December 18th. He contacted me in early January, saying he hadn't gotten the package. I asked him to wait another week or so, since the shipment may have been returned (still in transit) to me, or was delayed due to the holidays. No response from the bidder until the week of January 22nd, when he asked that I refund his money. I wasn't too thrilled about it, but I mailed him a refund check for the full purchase price, plus freight, on 11/27. This check was on its way to him when he irrationally posted bad feedback on 11/29 regarding our transaction.
You know-- I assume the package was stolen from his doorway/mailbox, but still refunded his money. Yet I get accused of performing an eBay 'ripoff'. Stay far, far away from (this eBayer) -- a lot of grief, paranoia, distrust, and trouble-- for a $10.50 transaction.

On January 31st, 2000 I politely and apologetically asked this unnamed eBay member to come up with a cancelled check (that she claimed I had cashed approximately two weeks previous) for an auction that concluded in late December '99. She never responded to my request. On February 14th she sent me an abusive email and posted negative feedback-- without even making the most minimal effort to reciprocate my good-faith attempt to resolve the matter. I was perfectly willing to make good if it had turned out I screwed up. I'd sold over 150 items on eBay up to that point and never had any complaints. This particular dispute was over a $6.20 sale for a 7-inch single. Draw your own conclusions.
Postscript: After waiting nearly two weeks, on February 27th she finally sent an email-attached .bmp of the front of the check. Of course, there was no way to see if I'd endorsed it or not, seeing as she apparently didn't exactly grasp the concept of scanning the back of a cancelled check to prove deposit. However, just to rid myself of the bad vibes of the whole affair, I sent her her 7" and "refunded" her $6.20, as well. I can sincerely say that it will be worth it if I never have to do business with her again.
