I have been collecting and accumulating for about 40 years. My interests include mint/used singles of the world from 1840-1940, British America to 1970 and U.S. to 1970. I also collect U.S. plate blocks to about 1990 and U.S. postal history. I usually buy lots, keep what I need and try to sell and trade the rest - hence my presence on eBay.
My Stamp Auction Terms Clarified - First of all I am a stamp collector and not a dealer. Like you probably do, I collect stamps for fun and not to make a profit. The stamps I sell on eBay generally fall into two categories; individual sets & singles and miscellaneous lots. My terms of sale are different as described in each auction. Let me explain why.
Individual Sets & Singles - These are stamps that I have examined and cataloged using the latest Scott Catalog at my disposal. I scan each item to display in the auction. All such stamps are in sound condition unless described otherwise. Any stamp purchased may be returned for any reason within 14 days of the auction close. Upon receipt I will refund your winning bid along with your original shipping cost.
Miscellaneous Lots - These are made up partly of sets and singles that did not sell at my original asking price and/or other stamps that I have not examined closely. I make up these lots because I always seem to have a large amount of stamps to go through and not enough time. If the stamps have been identified by the previous owner, I only do a brief inspection. Otherwise I would take the time to verify and sell them individually myself. On these lots I generally estimate the catalog value, sometimes based upon the outdated catalog or retail value as marked. I often take pictures of the lot, but pictures are not as detailed as scans for the purpose of verifying that the stamps I sent are the ones returned. For these reasons, I auction these lots "as is" and they are not returnable for any reason. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not bid in these auctions.
Save on Multiple Item Shipping - If you win multiple auctions the end on the same day, I will automatically combine your shipping cost for all items and ship them together. Your cost will be less than the total of each when added together. If you wish to combine items won from auctions ending on different days, please email me in advance and I will let you know what I can do.
I also have an interest in Personal Computers. Besides working
as a computer professional, I also build and repair PC's for others. I also
enjoy PC gaming. Occasionally I will offer PC components and software on eBay. Typically PC components are sold "as is" and not returnable unless I specify in the listing. In cases where a PC item is returned, the buyer agrees to pay for the return shipping.
