Peggy is a full time professional artist from Philadelphia, Pa. who has been painting for over thirty years. Her work is a "Celebration Of Color".
My style is very versatile, while I prefer Contemporary Abstracts using warm earth tone blends, I also enjoy creating bold abstract florals My styles also include abstract, cubism, surrealism, impressionism, pop art, and anything that moves me when my brush is in my hand!
I never know what the completion of one of my paintings is going to look like until it is completed...
My father was an incredible self-taught artist. He was a great influence in my life. As a descendant of an artist, I believe that my artistic career was predestined…learning from my father at a very young age, I explored my own creativity.
When I was in fourth grade, I was asked to create a giant mural for the wall of my school. I remember how proud I was to see my own creation big as life being viewed by everyone!
Years after being married and having two children, I started my own business in silk screening and sign making. I attended school during that time for cosmetology and worked part time in that field.
From there I went on to merchandising, marketing, sales and advertising for Harley Davidson, and then continuing on with my career as a hair stylist. Throughout that time I have always pursued my passion for art. I feel very fortunate to be able to now focus all of my time on creating my art thanks to my many collectors!
I believe, that we all try to find ourselves in this life knowing that there is a purpose. I feel that my divine purpose is to bring joy to peoples’ lives through my art.
My artwork is now published in the “Galiart Collections” Catalog in France. I have a strong following of collectors from around the globe. I am also a juried member of EBSQ, which is an online association where members represent their own work and where I have won several awards.
My work is displayed in the “Joseph Thomas Galleries in New York, and featured in : "ArtWanted" 2007 and 2008 Calendar...
