Born in Birmingham,
England, I moved to the USA 4 years ago and am currently living in
California, USA.
Having some spare time on my hands, I started
making miniature flowers and plants about a year after I moved to
the USA. After making more than I could keep I started selling them
on eBay and Tallulah Belle was born.
No longer
challenged using artificial plants and purchased mulberry flowers, I
made the decision around February of this year to only going to
create flowers and plants that I made entirely from scratch myself.
Everything you see now has been created by hand using paper, wire,
paint, chalks and ink. Most are wired to enable gentle repositioning
and all are sprayed with a clear, matte, non yellowing protecant to
ensure colors stay true. All I purchase ready made now are the
planters they sit in.
Although
considerably more time consuming I believe the quality and realism
is far superior.........as do my customers.
Each
piece takes numerous hours to create so although I will never have a
huge amount of items for sale you can be assured that no time or
effort is spared in their creation.
As a miniature enthusiast myself, I appreciate how important
quality & detail is
so I only sell pieces I would happily purchase for my own
collection.
Mother Nature gives flora a will of its own and, in my endeavor
for realism, I will often place my flowers in a random arrangement
as would be the case in real life and sometimes my arrangements will include a dying leaf or a flower that
needs deadheading.
I also create completely dead or dying plants suitable for brown
thumb gardeners or haunted scenes.
All of my items are exclusive to Tallulah-Belle Originals & many are
One of A Kind.
I may make similar pieces but, due to the nature in which they
are made, I cannot identically replicate them.
Except for the smallest pieces where there just isn’t room, each
piece is signed & dated by me.
I do not use stock photographs - the photo you see is the actual
item for sale.
I appreciate how difficult it is to buy without being able to hold
the piece in your hand so I include as many photographs as I am
able, so you are able to see all the tiny details.
All of my miniatures are created in a smoke & pet free home.
Custom orders/ Commissions may be possible depending on time
constraints.
