Iwao Takamoto Event

HONORING IWAO TAKAMOTO

                 We are also currently planning a very special event to honor Iwao Takamoto.  The event will also be a release of his biography, “My Life with a Thousand Characters,” and will feature Michael Mallory and Willie Ito.

                 March 14, 2009 will be a very special evening here at our gallery.  We will be honoring the legendary animator, Iwao Takamoto.  Iwao worked for the Disney studios under Milt Kahl’s direction during such classic films as “Lady and the Tramp” and “101 Dalmatians.” He also was a character animator for Hanna Barbera and is historically known as THE CREATOR of Scooby Doo!  This will be a very special event with the author of his biography, Michael Mallory, and longtime friend, Willie Ito, in attendance.  There will be a release of original Iwao Takamoto production and personal art released as well as the opportunity to purchase a copy of his new biography signed by the author.
