You might be wondering why a dental dealer sells used/surplus merchandise.
Well we have 2 sides to our business:
Our main business is wholesale distribution of dental/medical specialty equipment.
Our secondary business is bankruptcy surplus liquidation.
We have separate policies for selling factory new or surplus merchandise, so please read individual listings separately.
As you would imagine surplus/used merchandise is sold as is: all used merchandise is auctioned off as is, and where is with no long term warranties unless otherwise specified in listing, ANY RETURNS must be pre-approved, and the return instructions stricly followed. Note: All NON-working or "as-is" items are NOT returnable or refundable under any circumstances.
Being wholesalers of new equipment we have to add the following: All sales are final, we can not offer a "no questions asked" return policy without building the cost of that service into our prices. You are getting a factory fresh, brand new unit (not refurbished) for the BEST PRICE IN THE WORLD!!! If you want to try/experiment with a product we offer; buy the same unit from your local dealer for 5-10 times the price, return it to them, come back, and finally purchase one from us for PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. Think about it: your local dealer sells cavitrons for 2000+ and our price is 250. When buying from your local product rep. you pay for the name. When buying from Abaris you pay for the product.
We do not refund or pay for any shipping costs.
Feedback policy: Receiving the payment does not stop the process for us. We are continously dealing with the customer's concerns until merchandise arrives, and customer has indicated their satisfaction with their feedback. This is why our policy is never to leave feedback first (unless we are the buyer), but due to our high sales volume our server reciprocate all feedback within hours that it was left to us. Fell free to check our extensive feedback record and the times we have received, and returned feedback.
Please note: Candian customers add 5% GST on total including shipping as CP charges it too. British Columbia customers add another 7% PST on purchase price. Regarding taxes, please do not email with excuses that "this is used merchandise" (if that is the case): you need to pay taxes even if you buy used, donated merchandise at the Salvation Army. We did not invent this, it is the government that requres it by law.
Friendly advice:
Buyers that are not confident, or competent enough, to evaluate the arrived item themself for functionality should not ask for the opinion of your "friendly local shop". It is irrelevant, as they hate ebay, and anyone who chooses ebay over them, as they most likely sell the same product at 3X the price as one can buy it from ebay. As soon as you show up at their counter with: "I bought this over eBay can you check it if it needs anything", you can be darn sure that they will find, or claim to have found something - as you have already proved with your action by taking it to them that you are not competent enough to evaluate yourself, so they will be sure to give you an estimate for adjusting this, cleaning that, to punish you for not buying from them and discourage you from ever buying again from anyone but them!!!
So there is no way that we can or will accept their, or any 3rd party report, or evaluation, and pay for any repair or maintenance they suggest.
