GENUINE PREHISTORIC TREASURES FROM THE SEA!
AMMONITES are one of the earliest recognizable animals from prehistory and remind us of the coming into existence of life. and are 410 to 435 million years old. Ammonites had intricate curved chambers and propelled themselves through the dark early seas by filling the chambers of their shells with air filtered from gills and squirting jets of water. ORTHOCERAS fossils appeared several million years before the first primitive fish began swimming in the ocean. Orthoceras cephalopods were a prehistoric squid-like sea creatures which had a long, cone-shaped shell, which expanded by adding larger body chambers to it and their fossils sometimes have an iridescent quality. We use high grade ancient fossils for our designs and hand prepare them for use in our designs. Each fossil specimen is one of a kind and a unique piece of Earth history.
