Below are guidelines to ensure that you have the ability to determine your correct bra size:
1. First, assess your under bust measurement by measuring directly underneath your bust. Then add four inches to an even measurement or five inches to an odd measurement. For example, if you measure 33 inches, your under bust measurement is 38 inches.
2. Next, establish your bust measurement by measuring across your breasts at their fullest point.
3. Finally, calculate your cup size, which is your bust measurement minus your under bust measurement. If the difference is up to three inches, you are a C cup; if the difference is four inches, you are a D cup; and if the difference is five inches, you are a DD cup. For example, if your bust measurement is 42 inches and your under bust measurement is 38 inches, you should wear a D cup.

Breast forms are incredibly resilient and are designed to stand up to the normal everyday demands place upon them. If cared for correctly, your breast form should last you for many years. However, take care not to puncture your breast form with sharp objects, such as pins or pet claws, as repair is not possible. Q: How do I clean my breast prosthesis?
1. Wash with soft cleaner/soap with gentle cloth and gently scrub .

3. Rinse with cool water and or clean soft cloth rinsed in water.
4. Allow to dry naturally or with a hair dryer on a low temperature setting.
Q: Is there any way to make wearing my breast prosthesis cooler in warm weather?
A: Wearing the breast prosthesis inside the bra pocket keeps the prosthesis off the skin. This creates more ventilation to evaporate perspiration. Some women claim that a lighter weight prosthesis feels cooler. It is very important to wear a bra that supports the breasts and prosthesis and keeps them from resting on the abdomen, as constant moisture in this area can create skin irritation.
Q: What is the expected lifetime of a silicone breast prosthesis?
A: Most breast prostheses will last many years if cared for properly...to keep from damage keep in box ,to keep the prosthesis from punctures or erosion to the skin of the prosthesis from perfume or lotions. Premium breast prostheses may last longer than two years with proper care. It is still a good idea to see a Certified Mastectomy Fitter yearly to have a fit assessment, as women’s bodies change with age and weight.
Q: My prosthesis feels heavy. Is it too large?
A: The first thing to evaluate in this situation is the fit of the bra. Bras have a lifespan of three to six months of constant use before they need to be replaced. If the bra doesn’t adequately support the prosthesis and hold it snugly against the chest wall, then the straps of the bra end up supporting the weight of the prosthesis and pulling down on the shoulder area. never wash in hot water and do not dry in dryer, wash with gentle detergent and hang to dry, heat from dryers are murder to elastic and delicate apparel.
Q: Is a lighter weight breast prosthesis appropriate for me?
A: Many women who cannot tolerate a weighted silicone prosthesis find that a light weight prosthesis is much more comfortable. Some medical conditions such as lymphedema or osteoporosis of the spine warrant a light weight prosthesis . Q: I had a lumpectomy, breast conserving surgery or reconstruction. Is there a prosthesis for me?

Measure for your perfect bra size with the quick fit calculator
A bra size is made up of two measurement components: band size (i.e. 34, 36, 38) and cup size (i.e. A, B, C).
To find
your correct bra size, begin by wearing your best fitting bra - unpadded, and not a minimizer or sports bra (underwire
doesn't matter). If you are sagging in this bra, tighten your straps until the crest of your breasts is approximately
half way between your shoulder and your elbow - this is the proper alignment for most breasts. If possible, have someone
other than yourself take your measurements. Not only is it faster, it also tends to be more accurate.

1. Holding the measuring tape gently but firmly, measure
around your bra directly under your bust after expelling all air from your lungs -
you want this measurement to be as small as possible. Look in a mirror to assure
the tape is parallel to the floor. The position of your tape measure is critical here.
If you have the tape too high, your measurement will be too large; too low and it's too small.
2. When you take these measurements, round to the closest whole inch, either up or down. For
example, if your measurement is 29 3/8", round to 29". If your measurement is 29 1/2" or more, round
to 30".
3. Bras come in even band sizes. If the rounded measurement you come up with is an even number,
add 4 inches. If the rounded measurement you come up with is an odd number, add 5 inches.
4. The result is your band size. Example: 33" + 5" = 38" band size
Another method for finding your band size is to measure around your body, straight across your back
and chest directly above the bust at underarm level. Again, expel all your air, and keep your arms
at your side. High-busted women and women with implants will have trouble keeping the tape measure
parallel to the floor; do your best. If this measurement is an odd number, add one inch and the result
will be your band size.
Measuring Your Cup Size
2. Wrap the tape measure around you so that it is just touching, but not binding. If one of your breasts
is significantly larger, put some type of padding in the cup of the smaller breast to make it even with the larger breast
before taking your measurement.
3. Round up or down to the nearest inch as you did to find your band size.
4. Now, subtract your band size measurement from this second measurement. The difference is your cup size.?
Example: 38" - 34" (band size) = 4" = D cup size. The chart below shows you how to determine cup size.
