ADEON gallery was established in 1964 as a result of a project that resulted in six first place awards at the New York World's Fair of 1964/65. These First Place photographs, along with 25 other photographs submitted by Nick Poolos, were on display at the fair during its entire 2 year period. We disperse many estates, collections and businesses and consequently a great variety of items. If you are seeking a specific type of object, email us at adeon @poolos.com with details. We respond to every query. Thank you for your business. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. If you derive your pleasure in collecting from association with prestigious nouns, you have a lot to worry about. Especially with provenance; does being told an item came from a collection dating from the late 19th C or even later assure you that the object originated in ca 2000 B.C. or even in the late 19th C? Or, was for certainty ever in that collection? Provenance is a sales gimmick intended to influence those with limited experience in the world of art.
We are a former Sothebys.com associate (it doesn't mean much). You can verify this fact and our areas of expertise by going to: http://pages.ebay.com/formersothebysassociates/ You can be certain of one fact: we offer a guarantee of authenticity as strong and meaningful as any in the entire world. We have begun our project to publish facts about collecting, this industry, its players and a whole lot more. Below, you will find links to many sources, intended to assist you in enjoying the maximum benefits of participating in the worlds of art, antiques and collectibles. Thank you for your business. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. Nick Poolos, owner, ADEON gallery
