About my self, I confess, I am a stamp collector (well, almost addicted to stamps and postal history) and over the years I have started several collections, disposed of them and started others. However, my Tibet Collection I never gave up. I have been employed for more then 29 years by a German Electronics Giant and am currently back in the home office, waiting for a new overseas assignment. During the 29 years of service abroad I have worked in almost every continent of the world with the exception of North America. I am even one of the few westerners who has worked in North Korea, not a very pleasant experience, but at the end, an experience not to be missed. Noteworthy are my 5 ½ years in Iraq from 1984 - 1990 up to the final count down as hostage from August 1990 - November 1990 during the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait and later on, my 11 years duty in Kuwait and 7 years in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. For the ones who like it in detail, aside from Germany, I worked in Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, North Korea, Philippines, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Burundi, Togo, Benin and if I count all transit countries I have touched to reach these places I had been on a large number of countries on this planet. My ebay activities are buying and selling; selling material accumulated over almost 40 years of collecting, buying items I like to have for my own collections as mentioned below. I treat my partners as friends, and my feedback speaks for it self. I usually pay for my items the same day I receive the invoice and ship usually the same day payment has arrived. Früher Brief von 1933 mit halbierter Marke

Es handelt sich um einen Brief vom Juni 1933 aus Kathmandu in Nepal nach Shigatse in Tibet. Der Brief wurde in Kathmandu mit Marken der Britisch-Indischen Post (3 Pies + 2 Stück. ½ Anna) frankiert, mit dem Stempel der Britisch-Indischen Post in Kathmandu "NEPAL / 22.JUN 33 /..." entwertet und durch die Britisch-Indische Post nach Gyantse zum Postamt der Britisch-Indischen Post in Tibet befördert. Da Tibet kein Mitglied des Weltpostvereins war wurde die Britisch-Indische Frankatur für den Weitertransport zum Empfänger nicht anerkannt, stattdessen wurde in GYANTSE (oder auch bereits in Kathmandu durch den Absender) eine tibetische Marke für den Weitertransport nach Shigatse aufgeklebt und in GYANTSE mit dem Stempel der tibetischen Post gestempelt. Bis hierher ist das alles normal und eine „Vielzahl“ von Belegen welche diesen Weg gingen sind erhalten geblieben. Aber, der gezeigte Brief hat als Frankierung nicht die zum damaligen Zeitpunkt benötigte 1/2 Trangka Portostufe sondern eine halbierte 1 Trangka Marke, gezähnt, Platte 1, Klischee 6, entwertet mit dem Stempel von GYANTSE welcher, auf Grund der frühen Verwendung (Diese Stempeltype wurden erst im selben Jahr eingeführt) den doppelten Außenkreis zeigt. Der doppelte Außenkreis wurde im laufe der Jahre beschädigt und zeigte zum Schluss nur noch einen Kreis). Es sind Halbierungen (und Viertelungen) von Tibetischen Marken aus der Zeit ab ca. 1953/54 bekannt, dies ist aber der erste und bisher einzige Beleg welcher eine Halbierung bereits aus dem Jahre 1933, dem Ausgabejahr der Marken, trägt. Da zum damaligen Zeitpunkt eigentlich kein prinzipieller Mangel an 1/2 Trangka Marken bekannt war kann es sein dass die 1/2 Trangka Marken zum Zeitpunkt der Ausgabe des Briefes noch gar nicht ausgegeben waren was auch der Grund dafür sein kann dass bis dato keine Musterbogen vom 1/2 Trangka Wert bekannt sind. Daher wurde eine 1 Trangka Marke geteilt verwendet welche seitens der tibetischen Post akzeptiert wurde bzw. durchgeschlüpft ist. Nun beginnt die Suche nach dem Bruder des Briefes, wo eine Marke geteilt wurde sollte man annehmen dass auch die zweite Hälfte verwendet wurde… |
