My parents gave me my Granny's old Fire King glass and then my Grandmother who is still living*** gave me what she had. All that became what I call an "addiction"--a wonderful addiction. I just could not get enough of the old glass. That's where eBay came into the picture. After buying for some months, I decided to start selling on eBay as well. It has turned into a wonderful experience. I really enjoy meeting all the nice people that I have met from all over the world. ***NOTE: This Grandmother passed away on September 30, 2007 with her family by her side. I will treasure her memory along with the special pieces of glass she has given to me over the years.

Of a different topic: To let you know how much these cyber friends mean to me: In the summer of 2001, our second son Josh was in a ATV (4-wheeler) accident. A very serious one. He nearly died. It was touch and go for several days, and then after that the doctors told us that they were not sure they would be able to save Josh's right leg. Finally, after 3 weeks and 6 operations they told us he would keep his leg but would never walk again~!! I spent 31 days in the hospital with Josh by his bedside coming home once a week to spend one night with my husband and other children while my Mom took my place at the hospital. One night while I was home, I contacted several of my repeat customers from eBay and told them about my son. Within days, I had hundreds of emails from people from all over the world with well wishes and prayers~!! It was really a heart touching experience for our family.

TODAY, with the power of prayer Josh is doing GREAT~!! He can WALK on his own. Other than the terrible scar, you would never know anything had happened to him. We have all my eBay friends and customers to thank for their outreach of caring and prayers PLUS the wonderful medical staff and the best trauma unit here in North Carolina. :)

Now, getting back to glass.........In addition to Fire King and other jadite, I also collect McCoy and American Bisque cookie jars. I have approximately 100 salt and peppers shakers covering two small walls in my kitchen. I also love old crocks and jugs. I have a great deal of them too. I can't leave out my pig collection either. I have about 150 pigs in every shape and size you can imagine. Some of my family members and friends refer to our home as "the museum"~!! :) I guess I am just a collector of many things. You never know what I will come up with next.

I have shipped nearly 900 packages as far away as Asia with only one item arriving broken. I try my best to do a professional packing job and treat my customers as I would like to be treated myself.
