Welcome! I am a professional artist, musician and songwriter now living in Tucson Arizona. I have been creating art and music all of my life and am happy to announce the release of my first CD of original music. Look for it in my ebay store under the music category. I have done all sorts of art over the years, including painting, jewelery making, paper making, collage and all kinds of fabric dyeing. Currently, I am painting and doing small batches of my own shibori fabric dyeing technique. Shibori is a traditional Japanese technique of tie dye. I do Arashi Shibori, or pole wrapping. The garment is first washed and then soaked in a dye-fixative. It is then dried and wrapped around a pole, tied and scrunched and then the dye is applied in layers. Often times I rinse out the item and then rewrap, tie and redye. It is quite a process and the results are quite stunning. No two garments are ever the same, creating truly unique, one of a kind art to wear.
