About the Artist

 My name is Akiko Meigetsu. I am a mathematical biologist and a self-taught, anime artist. I've been drawing figures seriously since I was nine years old, and have been drawing in the anime-style for more than eight years. I typicall work in graphite, colored pencil (sometimes mixed with watercolors) and digital media. My subjects are typically elves, fairies, cat-girls, and other types of creatures with pointed ears in both modern and fantasy settings. I also draw biological illustrations.
