I`m a hard-working family man, and YOUR PATRONAGE HELPS BUILD A STRONGER AMERICA by allowing us to raise our two sons AT HOME, with 'Old Fashioned' family values (remember those?). I operate a professional and courteous service, with no baloney. I`ll always answer any questions related to any item I offer for sale; even if you are not seriously considering its purchase I am happy to share information with inquisitive minds. I am an old-school gentleman, I feel a man`s word is a final and binding contract, and liars be hanged! Do business with the Amp Shark, and you`ll be treated right.
I GIVE THOROUGH AND HONEST DESCRIPTIONS OF MY GOODS. Unfortunately, eBay abounds with occasional hucksters and scam-artists; you can be certain I`m NOT one of those! I will gladly give you a comprehensive, in-hand description of every tiny nick and flaw in any piece I offer for sale. I don`t sugar-coat anything, and I will attempt to talk you out of a sale, if I sense that an item is not exactly what you expect it to be. Many dealers tend to give "optimistic" ratings, and incomplete descriptions that gloss-over the true condition of their merchandise... AMP-SHARK's descriptions are brutally honest, sometimes to the effect that a better than average piece may sound only fairly good, and a good piece may sound ready for the dumpster. I NEVER ignore or under-report anything I find "wrong" with an item. An item I rate as Very Good is often as clean as many dealer`s "Excellent" examples; an item I rate as Good may be kinda worn, but it will still be decent unless otherwise described (many dealers might call this "Very Good"); If I ever use the term Excellent, you better perk-up and take notice, because it`s a CLEAN piece, baby! If it's a rough piece or a fixer-upper, I'll do my best to convey all its problems so the Buyer does not find a box of undeclared gremlins arriving on the doorstep. I may scare off some of the snootier/more squeamish shoppers with such thorough descriptions, but I feel it`s best to have my customer's expectations confirmed or even surpassed upon opening the box, instead of being sorely disappointed. As stated in my item descriptions - I describe every piece as thoroughly as I would want for my own consideration.
I consider myself extremely fortunate in having the opportunity to be a trusted Seller on eBay! My conscience dictates I treat everyone with honesty and integrity. I am not like some lying-whore politician nor a slick-talking salesman, intent upon feeding you the line of B.S. I think you want to hear. I will give you all the plain facts I have, and you can then decide for yourself -- simple as that, take it or leave it. Sometimes my goods fetch crazy unheard-of Top-Dollar prices, and sometimes they go tearfully cheap; in all cases I do my best to ensure your satisfaction with the value of your purchase.
I try my best to keep my shipping charges as low as possible, but I cannot afford to "give away" shipping like some big corporate mail-order house. You folks bidding on smaller items may gripe about a $10/$15 shipping charge, when "all I have to do is drop it in an envelope for a coupla bucks". I spend considerable time and expense procuring proper packing supplies, and I always pack every item as best I can, so you can always count on getting your money`s worth for delivery.
Still, my shipping charges may seem a little steep if you`re a penny-pincher; if so, spend a little time researching the costs of packing supplies and professional packing/shipping services - then you`ll find I`m not such a greedy jerk, after all. Please remember: you`re saving considerable time and resources by shopping from your computer, and not traveling to Timbuktu - and back again - to locate, examine, or pick-up your item. Plus, the disgusting parasitic government Sales-Tax-O-Crats don`t get their greedy paws anywhere near our transaction, saving you even more of your hard-earned dough. This adds-up to Extra Value - so I say, a couple of extra bucks spent on shipping ain`t gonna hurt anyone but Scrooge.
The United States Postal Service does a great job; however, by the time I pay for postage plus insurance I am usually spending within a buck or two of UPS/FedEx; also, UPS/FedEx includes a totally free and No-Bull door-to-door tracking service, which USPS does not; this free tracking service keeps everyone well-informed and honest. Yes, I can handle any special shipping request through carriers other than UPS/FedEx if you prefer - but please be aware I must charge reasonably for my extra time and effort taken.
I`ve been doing long-distance business for dozens of years since 1979; I personally have shipped literally HUNDREDS of guitars, large & small amps, and various other miscellany from coast to coast and around the world. My close attention to proper packing has resulted in ZERO BREAKAGE IN TRANSIT EVER. In some exceptional cases I must charge a few extra dollars for the time it takes to carefully prepare a complex or unusually fragile item for shipment. If you think my stated shipping charges are too exorbitant, you could probably find a similar item with cheaper shipping if you watch eBay for awhile longer.
