My name is Gene Brandenburg & I've dealt in coins and currency here in the Washington, D.C. area since 1967 (I joined the American Numismatic Assoc. that year & received my 25 year membership medal in 1992). I'm retired now but still dabble a bit here on eBay, clearing out old stuff  I've acculumated. I've seen many changes in the hobby over the years - some good, some questionable - and it has been an enjoyable ride. Shown is my first coin show, bartering with Julian Liedman & Harry Forman ( the food was expensive - 35 kreutzer for a weiner - but I picked up some good stuff)  - also a scan of a few errant friends I've acculumated along the way. Error coins somehow grab the soul, don't they? Notice anything similar about these coins? None are "slabbed" & won't be while I'm alive. Holding these "up close & personal"  is part of the joy of collecting.
