"Hi Andy, I really appreciate you taking the time with us and answering so
many questions last Saturday at your place. Remember us, we were the three
banditos (old guys) drooling all over the place, in awe and wonder of how
knowledgeable you were with guitar gear. Respectively-"

"Hey Andy, First, let me thank you for the superb job you did on the '69 SG Custom. The neck is perfect and my gig with it in March went great. Next, I have to thank you for the excellent fire appraisals of my burned SG and 66 Strat. They were so compelling that [the insurance company] finally paid off within the price range you set for both of them. So, I am now the proud owner of one of the cleanest '66 sunburst Strats in the world, and I was wondering if you could find time to do a set up job on both that and a new Les Paul I just got. I also plan to bring in a Tele belonging to a friend that needs some tuning key repair. Let me know when you have time for an appointment to bring these instruments in. Thanks again."
"Hey Andy,
No problem with the referral. You do great work and are very easy to get
info out of and your work is exceptional. Plus, theres no BS. You're the
best tech I have ever worked with. I'm going to bring a fretless to you soon
to have it's nut done as well. Take care."
Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2007 From: Tommy Watts
"Oh my gosh Andy, I don't know what to say. You took a dusty old lump of coal and turned it into a beautiful fine diamond. What you did for my 1945 Gibson L 7 is nothing short of magnificent! You sir are truly a world class guitar luthier and I am honored that you restored my baby for me. Thank you!" Tommy Watts, Professional Jazz Musician (Semi Retired)

"Hi Andy. Just dropping a line to say that while I was extremely impressed with your work on my SG, I was even more impressed that you took the time to call and see that I was satisfied with the work you did. You are in my book as a true professional. All the best-"

"Dear
Andy, thank you for your time, expertise, and genuine enthusiasm! You
have once again made the joy of rescuing and restoring beautiful instruments
possible. 2006 was a great year for my little orphaned lap steels & I!"

"Andy, I have been playing the Strat for a week now and it sounds great. The new pickup gives me just what I was looking for in soloing. Cuts through nicely where the SC didn't. The setup is noticeably improved too. It plays like butter. The intonation is dead on and my fingers seem to fly over the fretboard . . . the action is great. Playing chords was never easier. . . thanks for doing such a pro job on it."
"Dear Andy, I wanted to drop you a line after viewing your website, WWW.ANDYBRAUER.COM , to say that musicians in California are incredibly fortunate to have a company like yours providing the services you do. N.Y. needs to have something like that here. I've been a fan since reading your profile in Guitar World entitled "Studio Rats," probably in '87. Later I followed your monthly column in Guitar Player. Much like yourself, I am a gear-a-holic. The magazine article that was very interesting was your profile in 20th Century Guitar, whom I wound up writing for for 3 years. Later I went on to write for Guitar Shop. You should consider penning some more articles.
"Why is Steve Lukather selling those outrageous-sounding amps? The sound he got on the Tubes albums defined great tone. Incredible sounding tone machines. At any rate, I just wanted to tell you that NY needs a dedicated service co. like Andy Brauer. It could revive the studio scene here."

"Dear Andy, I want to thank you for all the magic you put into my guitars. It's like they have been reborn and subsequently I play and sound a lot better playing them. The action and fine tuned intonation along with the precision polishing of the fret-board were the answers I didn't know I was looking for to improve the play substantially on the both of them. I want to thank you very much for the work you did, I wasn't expecting it."

"Andy, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your attention to detail
and actually listening to me. As you know, I am very picky on how I want
my instruments set up because off how lightly I play. It seems difficult
to find skilled honest craftsmen these days. You did a great job on my guitar.
I will be in touch to bring you some other guitars."

positions. Thanks a million."

"Andy, Received the '94 MIJ Custom Cream Tele and I'm having a great time
with such a pretty and unique guitar. I was sent a pic of the same model
being played by The Edge. Guess I'm in good company. Only wish I could play
like him! Thanks for shipping so quickly and packing it so thoroughly!"

"Andy, I just wanted to drop you a line. The P Bass you worked on is totally
great - feel and sound. I haven't touched another bass since I got it back.
In fact, I just got back from a session this morning and that is the only
bass they let me play! Thank you!"
"Hi Andy,
Just wanted to say thank you again for fixing up my old P bass. I always
loved playing it and thought it was one of the best playing and sounding
basses I ever played. I didnt think it was possible, but you made it even
better. It plays better than ever and the new pickups sound incredible! And
the new paint job is Stunning! You and your staff are awesome! you have exceeded
my expectations way above what I thought was possible. Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you! I have a Schecter strat that I would like you to redo for
me also. It is a mid 80s model with some of the most beautiful wood Ive ever
seen. I would like to have it sanded down, refinished and buffed out so that
it shines again. And then set up so that it plays as beautiful as my P-bass.
Let me know if it is OK to bring it in next week. Thanks!"

at your auctions. They're the best basses I've ever played. "
