Rules and Everything that Doesn't Fit On the Listing Page
Response to negative feedback left to me I sell hundreds of items every month of a very wide variety. I am not and I don't claim to be an expert about every item that I sell. I do my best to describe the item. If I find out later that I made an error in my description I ALWAYS offer to take the item back and refund the money minus the shipping costs. Most ebay sellers have some negative feedback. I have sold over 2500 items and a small percent have left negative feedback on $3 items and were repeat customers that same week. It doesn't say anything about me but more about the way the other side chose to handle a situation that in some cases existed (Again, I'm not claiming not to make any mistakes) or was just in the mind of the buyer. If there is any justification at all to a complaint that you might have I will take the item back. I did so not once and not twice even after a positive feedback has been left to me. If buyer realizes later that there is a problem I still offer the same response that I would before the feedback. SHIPPING AND HANDLING Please understand that the shipping and handling charge covers not only postage but also a large variety of other expenses. I have to cover my expenses or I'm out of business. Some sellers prefer to give you a higher starting price or a reserve. I usually give you very low starting price and I expect you to take into consideration the shipping charge when you decide how much you will bid. If you are willing to spend $15.00 on an item does it really matter if you spent $10.00 on the item and $5.00 on shipping or $8.00 on the item and $7.00 on shipping? I also buy on ebay and a lot of other internet venues. I always find out in advance how much the shipping will cost me and I do the math. I compare prices and always look at the bottom line, this is the important line. I would offer free shipping and work the shipping into the basic price but ebay charges fees for the sale price and not for the shipping and handling so I have to do it this way. Most people understand, appreciate the care I put into packing and feel that my shipping charges are very reasonable. I spend a lot of money on shipping materials. prices of bubble wrap and shipping peanuts has increased along with the increase of fuel prices and I buy a lot of these. When I decide on the shipping charge I don't have exact data. I give you a number that I think is reasonable and this is what you pay. If I make a mistake and I actually pay more when I ship you will never know it but if I happened to spend less I expect you not to complain. Shipping multiple items: We will gladly combine shipment if the items can be shipped together. The formula is: One item pays full Shipping and handling (The most expensive one of course) and the others pay only half. |

INSURANCE As I mention in the listings I cannot be responsible for the package after it leaves my hands. This is true with one exception: If you pay for insurance and I forgot to insure your package, I will be responsible for the package. I will not refund your payment for insurance. You paid for the insurance and it is insured. If it gets damaged or lost during shippment you will get your money back from the postal service or, if I forgot to insure, from me. I try to avoid it because I really don't want to be responsible for this but it does happen sometimes. FEEDBACK I give feedback promptly to everyone who leaves feedback to me. I used to give positive feedback as soon as I got paid but I learned the hard way that some people would give negative feedback before telling me that they are unhappy with what they received. buyer's remorse is not a reason to return an item but there are so few cases of people who are unhappy with what I sent them (just read the feedback and see how happy people are). I have many people who buy from me repeatedly. The last time I checked, 13% of my business is repeat business and this number is going up. |
