When we guarantee authenticity we are stating that we believe the artwork is by the artist
as we have described it. Refunds may be given if, within 14 days following the sale, (7 days if based
on condition only)
with a signed written statement from the professionally recognized and qualified authority on his/her
professional letterhead, stating that the art work is not by the hand of the artist
described and named in the auction. The definition of an "expert" is the person recognized as such
by the two largest auction houses Internationally and that expert must be the author of the
recognized latest catalogue raisonne for the artists works.
If a painting is sold as attributed to an artist, “in the manner of” and “circle” or
follower it is guaranteed to be
executed in the era stated and therefore condition only guarantee will apply.
With
regard to condition, please note that most of the artworks we offer are old and may have been
restored or may have defects typical for their age. We try to accurately describe the condition
of artworks we sell, but descriptions are our opinions and are not intended to be exhaustive or
-inclusive. We include good photographs of the artworks so buyers can generally judge condition
for themselves. We do divulge all major condition defects, but the description of lesser
elements of condition
is subjective and cannot be guaranteed.

of the frame in our listing. Many frames are made of old wood and
fragile gesso with surface chips and other defects. Even when well
packed there can be damage during shipping.

We principally sell artwork from estates and private collections which we take on consignment. Our consignors are paid 15 days after the sale is completed and we are unable to give refunds after that time frame. Bidding on items offered by Artantiques signifies the buyer agrees all bids and sales take place in FLORIDA including payment and shipping.
