What is an Astad????
Astad is two sisters - Anne (that's me) and Jan Tierney. We both are avid readers and avid book buyers. There finally came a point where we had to start selling some books or look for bigger places to live. I started selling books on eBay in 2001. It was so much fun that Jan decided to join in. We formed a partnership and Astad was born.

Is this all you do?
Heck no. Both of us have regular jobs. Jan's an attorney and Anne works at the race track. We do this because we love books. Selling books this way has enabled us to buy even more books than we normally would... and since we LOVE shopping for and buying books that's a very good thing. We try to list about 10 or 20 auctions a week, depending on our schedules. We'd rather do a few auctions right than lots of auctions half-heartedly. We also have a little eBay bookstore. It's not easy going up against the huge mega-stores that seem to be taking over eBay, but we are fighting the battle every day. Please stop in and browse when you have some spare time. We offer quality books at reasonable prices. We don't gouge you on shipping and we ship when we say we will (which is fast!). If you need to ask a question or make a special request, Jan or I will do our best to make you happy. If you check out our feedback you'll find that we are honest people. We always try to describe our books completely and are happy to answer any questions or email more pics when asked.
