FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


VERY IMPORTANT, Please Read:
If there is a problem with a listing, we will email the winner of the item with options to refund or exchange item before it is shipped out. We respond to your Paypal payment eMail along with the eMail address in your eBay account. If you have 3 different eMail accounts listed with eBay, eBay Payments, and/or Paypal...you may be receiving multiple eMails for the same thing. If you do not answer one of these, the next step we attempt is to contact you via telephone. If your number is not listed when you created your eBay account, then we obviously have no other way of contacting you. It is up to you to check your eMails and respond to us. We try very hard to keep our customers happy, which is why we go to great lengths to contact you if there is a problem.

Our Mission Statement
We raise money for our non-profit group and maintain full time jobs as well. Due to the hundreds of emails received weekly, we are not able to answer many specific questions and have provided this FAQ list to answer the most frequently asked questions.

Also, if you purchase anything from us, you are agreeing that you have read, understand, and abide by the Policies below.

Are All Costumes in Stock?
Yes...all Costumes, Accessories, and other items in our eBay Store, are On Hand/In Stock. ALL items come from a Non-Smoking/Non-Pet environment.


PAYMENT INFO:


When is my payment for items due?
If you are buying something from our Store, you will have to pay immediately upon checkout. If you bid on an Auction, you have 7 calendar days after auction has ended to pay for your item. Arrangements must be made with us if you need more time. An notice will go out after 5 days, to remind you about payment.

What are the accepted methods of payment?
For eBay, we only accept Paypal. Your item will be shipped to your address listed on the Paypal notice sent to us.

For our internet site (www.CostumeHunters.com) we accept Visa, M/C, and Discover.

How long will it take for my Paypal payment to clear?
Paypal payments are immediate UNLESS you have just opened an account with Paypal, which may take a few business days for your account to be active.

Where do you ship your items?
Anywhere on EARTH!

What is the Method of Shipping?
ALL items are shipped at the United States Post Office. We do NOT ship via UPS, DHL, FedEx or by any other means.

Packages shipping within the United States, will be sent PRIORITY MAIL, which is normally 2-3 days (not guaranteed by the PO).

Packages OUTSIDE the United States will be sent Priority Mail International.

PLEASE NOTE: We no longer ship EXPRESS MAIL (overnight) due to Next Day and 2nd Day guarantees not getting there in time.

When will my item be shipped?
Items are shipped out approximately 1-3 BUSINESS days (Monday thru Friday) after payment is received. In MOST cases, we go to the Post Office the day after payment is received.

Please remember that if you are sending through the mail, we won't receive your payment for at least 3 days, and maybe up to 10 days. So your item will be shipped after that.

Also, if you purchase something and tell us in your payment that you need it by a certain day, you should make sure that there is actually enough time to get it to you within that time frame. You can't expect to pay for something and get it the next day.

There are no postal services on the WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS at our local Post Office.

Due to the volume of payments, we are not able to send out additional emails when payment is received, but as mentioned, packages go out approximately 1-3 business days after payment is received. You will however, receive an eMail that gives you your shipping information along with a Delivery Confirmation Number. Go onto www.usps.com and put the Delivery Confirmation # in to check your shipment.

    How is my item shipped?
    ALL items are shipped through our Shipping Department Mail Room. Items are shipped Priority Mail via the United States Post Office. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    Our responsibility for uninsured items ends at the post office. We are not responsible for items lost or misplaced by the post office. In the very rare event that an item goes missing, we will gladly file a search request with the post office, as you should too, but we cannot replace items lost in the mail or stolen from your mailbox. If you would like insurance on your package, it is your responsibility to request and pay for insurance. Insurance rates are as follows: For Up to $50 insurance = $1.75, $50-$100 = $2.75, $100-$200 = $3.75

    How much is shipping for my items(s)?
    For eBay purchases, please check the calculator on the "shipping" tab for shipping rates to your zip code or Country.

    For internet customers (www.CostumeHunters.com), if you live in the US, there is a Shipping Rate located before checkout, when you enter your correct zip code. For other Countries, please contact us for shipping quotes.

    Accessory items are available for cheaper shipping when you Purchase a Costume from us at the same time. Accessories are usually not that heavy so the shipping on them will be $2 added to the costume shipping...unless otherwise noted in the description.

    We raise money for our Arts group and have full time jobs as well. We use a mail room service to get packages out quickly. The service sets the prices for S&H. We make sure and include shipping calculators in auctions so buyers can see the charges up front.

    Do you combine shipping?
    For eBay: if you are looking to buy more than 1 different item, we ask that you contact us to get a Combined Shipping Rate, otherwise if you purchase items separately it will charge you shipping separately.

    Items bought after other items are paid for are not valid for shipping discounts. The reason for this is because once you pay for your item, our Shipping Department gets your package ready and sends them out. Our average turn around is 1 DAY after your payment is received...which is FASTER than most eBay & Internet Sellers.

    How much do you charge for Handling?
    $2 inside the US. $4 outside the US. Please remember this "handling charge" is for Tape, Boxes, Bubble Wrap (if necessary), and Gas (delivery to Post Office).

    Do you have additional measurements for costumes?
    We have thousands of costumes in stock. We happily list the size information provided by the manufacturer, but due to the volume of orders and emails, we are not able to provide additional measurements.

    SIZING CHARTS


    Is there Sales Tax on my item?
    There is only Sales Tax charged on items sold to Arizona Buyers.

    What are your refund and exchange policies?
    PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT the Manufacturers/Makers of any costumes or accessories...we are strictly a Retailer. Also, Costumes are not clothing garments and are not expected to be of the same quality as clothing garments.

    We are aware that sometimes you may not like the item you purchased, or it may have a manufacturer's flaw that we did not know about, because of this we do offer Refunds and Exchanges. All costumes that include a Mask, will be inspected BEFORE we ship it out to you. If there is a problem with the Mask due to shipping, please contact your local Post Office who delivered the package to you.

    1. You MUST contact us about a Refund or Exchange via eMail no later than 3 days after receiving your item (otherwise Returns are null and void and are no longer valid for Exchange). We will usually eMail you within 48 hours of receiving your eMail. If you do not hear from us in that time, please feel free to eMail us again.

    2. No item can be returned without first contacting us and receiving a "Return Authorization Number". Please include the "RAN" when you return your package. Orders will NOT be processed without this number. Items must be Postmarked within 5 days of receiving the "RAN".

    3. You are responsible for all shipping costs when sending back your item. We can not get a credit from the Post Office for a package that was already delivered, therefore (for a return), when your Credit Card transaction is reversed, you will only get the item price back, not the shipping. You are also responsible for shipping charges if we are sending another item to you as an Exchange. We can Paypal you an Invoice for shipping charges, or you can pay by Credit Card.

    4. Refunds are for the Price of the Item only, no shipping charges will be refunded.

    5. All items must be returned in the same NEW condition. All items will be inspected before refunds are processed.

    6. There is a 15% Restocking Fee on any Refunded Costume (Minimum $5 charge). If you are exchanging for a different size or a different costume, there is no restocking fee.

    7. Due to the nature of seasonal items and health regulations, NO Refunds or Exchanges will be allowed for anything other than Costumes.

    8. ANY special order Costumes cannot be returned, exchanged, or canceled.


    IMPORTANT NOTICE: No Returns or RAN's issued between 10/18 and 11/5...ALL Sales Final during this time period.

    Our responsibility for sent packages, ends at the Post Office. We are not responsible for items lost or misplaced by the Post Office. We cannot replace items lost in the mail, stolen from your mailbox, or items waiting at the Post Office for Pick Up. If you can't find your package, please check your back door, porch, screened in area, or even behind plants by your doors. If no package was left, there should be a note on your door saying that delivery was attempted...you can pick up your package at your local Post Office.

    A "Shipping Confirmation" eMail will be sent you when your item has been packaged and posted. Within this eMail, there will be a clickable Delivery Confirmation Number that will let you track your package online through the Post Office website.

    Does item come in the original package?
    All items are NEW in Package or on a Hanger.

    Do you have any additional sizes, styles or colors in stock?
    We have New Stock coming in All Year Around, so Check our Store often.

    We do have PLENTY of Accessories that are NOT in our eBay Store. If you are looking for something in particular, or a special Accessory to a costume that we have, please email us and ask. Most of the time we will be able to ship the Accessory Item for $1-$2 more, when you buy ANY costume (does NOT have to match the costume you bought, you still get the same deal).

    Listing Errors?
    We have over 12,000 items in our Store. Please be aware that it is very time consuming to list everything. We use a Program to list all of our items. Occasionally there are errors in the Description or Picture that we do not catch before it is posted to the Store (we are human). If you are looking at the Picture and then read the Description and there is a question about either one, please eMail us. We are happy to answer your questions. Also, when someone brings it to our attention, it will help us correct the error.

    What about local taxes or duties for International Shipments?
    We are NOT responsible for the local taxes or duties in your country. The shipping fee you pay does NOT cover local taxes or duties that you may incur for delivery. Although, when we ship an item Internationally we will mark as a GIFT with a purchase price of $5, to help you avoid paying excessive taxes or duties on delivery.

    What about Insurance for International Shipments?
    We do NOT offer Insurance on International Shipments. Why? Since we state "$5" on the Customs Form, it would be impossible for us to insure it for more and if we state that it is $40.00 on the Custom Form, your Duty and Taxes would be too high. Plus, it more than likely, will be held up in Customs. Also, your shipping charges do NOT include Insurance.

    What if I have a problem with my item?
    Please contact us via eMail with any problems regarding your item. Write PROBLEM WITH EBAY AUCTION in the title or we may miss your email. We raise money for our Arts Group and are dedicated to Customer Service. Our Past, Present, and Future Customers are VERY IMPORTANT to us, without YOU, we would not be here.
