Azroadrunners is a family owned and operated business, specializing in the restoration of antique telegraph equipment. We have been selling on eBay for over ten years!

We have a few of our relatives across the country who regularly search antique stores for this business and they send the items in bulk each month to fix up and sell on eBay. It certainly pays to have help in finding telegraph items and radio books! So this is how the quantity is kept up, combined with a lot of time-consuming hard work! We have found a few things at army surplus stores as well.

You really do have to have a love for this stuff in order to hunt it down, pay for it, clean it up, fix it, restore it, describe and photograph it, and then take the time to put it up for auction here on eBay, all so it can end up in the hands of someone else who shares the passion for these wonderful old pieces of history... We feel that this is much better than letting them just sit somewhere unappreciated, uncared for, in a state of decay, and unused. Hopefully our efforts will pay off in getting these wonderful items good homes with good people who will appreciate and take care of them, thus preserving a part of history in the process. If so, and you are happy with your purchase then I guess we have done something good, which is our main goal.

The other questions that we regularly receive are along the lines of photos and descriptions... We use the same basic descriptions for each telegraph key, sounder, relay, radio book, etc. that are duplicates of ones that we have sold in the past, as there isn't any need to change the basic description, other than the condition of course, as that is the only thing that really varies and will always be clearly stated in the auction. So, they are different auctions, not just the same ones each week being re-listed. As for the photos, we (usually) use the same backgrounds and same angles for the photos, but rest assured, they are all different -- i.e. there are no "file" photos of our telegraph equipment, book covers, or other antiques, so the item that you see each week and in each and every auction of ours is the very item that you are bidding on. Please review our feedback profile and you will see all of our happy customers -- and many of them are repeat customers (whom we value very much) -- that pretty much speaks for itself... And if there is ever ANY problem once you receive your item(s), please don't hesitate to email us -- given the chance we will gladly make anything right and you happy, as we do value customer satisfaction, our feedback profile, and wish to make dealing with us as easy possible, and we do hope that you will come back and buy from us again!
