I secure networks and break into them to test. That is my job. My research requires that I have an extensive private lab at my disposal at all times. Unfortunately, my stockpiles of networking and systems equipment have become staggering and are in need of some careful thinning. Space has become my primary consideration these days. So I am selling some of my equipment, as time permits, to help out. Nearly everything I sell is at a loss. I list nearly everything at 1 cent to start. I can live with that because I've been very successful in my career utilizing this equipment. I'll recover what I can and hopefully someone will be happy with the great deal they got. :)
Lately I have also agreed to help my children sell some of their software and toys as they grow out of them. They are fascinated by eBay and excited by the prospect of gleaning some cash for the things they no longer use (or perhaps never did!) So if you find a Putt-Putt CD be assured that it did not play a critical role in systems and network security research. :)
I did receive some minor negative feedback, but here is the explanation: Over a year ago my ISP went out of business. As a result I lost my DSL line and my email was lost to this defunct ISP. I was unable to get my email for over a month and after that for months it was unreliable and I had hordes of email to wade through. This mess caused me many many problems. Some of the more minor problems involved major delays in eBay transactions, both selling and purchasing. Some of the people I dealt with were understanding, some were not. Those who were not decided to deride me in a public way via eBay feedback. I suppose I don't entirely blame them but I would have handled it differently. Please be assured that I conduct business professionally and with integrity. I also now have more than one ISP! :)
I will always do whatever it takes to remedy any dissatisfaction.
