Welcome to the "About Me" page of Basset Books
We are dealers in used, rare and out-of-print books. We have been selling on-line since 1998, and we have operated two open shops, one in Columbia, MD and one in Historic Savage Mill, Savage, MD. We now sell almost exclusively on line. We occasionally sell at book shows. We have thousands of books listed on ABEbooks.com, Amazon.com, Alibris.com, Antiqbook.com, and Biblio.com. We also sell through our own website, bassetbooks.com (see link below). We sell books in most categories, with our specialties being mystery & thriller, espionage & intelligence, American, European and military history, Russian history, modern literature, signed books, science fiction, antiquarian, women's studies, children's books, science, math and nature, and classics. We strive to provide the highest quality service, in the description of our books, and in our high quality packing and prompt shipping. We wrap our books in bubblewrap and most hardcovers are shipped in boxes. We put Brodart clear mylar archival covers over dust jackets.
Our Commitment to Customer Service
We use great care in shipping your books. Except when not practical, all handcover books have Brodart mylar covers, are wrapped in bubble wrap, and are shipped appropriately and safely, either in a box, or a padded mailer.
