If you looked at our store before, and read the "ME" quotation, you saw that the store was previously named Lagniappe Department Store.  My wife and I were in the process of changing the name of the store to "Snooks Bazaar".  The change was brought about because "Lagniappe" was too hard for people to remember, and to hard to spell.  We loved the meaning and the concept of the term.  It meant a little something extra, a Southern Lousianana saying, that was standard practice in South Lousiana years ago. To make it easier for people to find our store, a change of store names was necessary, so we choose "Snooks Bazaar". Snook was my wife's nickname, and had been called by that name all her life.  Before we could actually change the name my wife became ill, and had to go into the hospital, and eventually passed from this life on 10 September 2007, she loved Ebay, and loved the store, and was the driving force behind the operation, so the store is named in her honor. It was Snooks store, her baby, and I will keep it going, in her memory.
