James & Amanda Tinker are the owners & artists of Black River Beads. We met through our common love of Art & Travel and have been collaborating on projects ever since. We both began making beads in 2002 and that has been our obsession since glass first touched flame. In 2002 we also opened our first store selling beads, jewelry, our handmade Pottery, and other handmade items, as well as gifts in downtown Pocahontas, AR. In 2005 we moved to our current location. Black River Beads & Pottery is located on the Historic Courthouse Square in Pocahontas, AR. It is located in the old City Hall complete with the city jail which we have converted into our studios. We also sell many beads via the internet & to Various Jewelry Designers. Black River Beads have been featured in Bead Patterns Magazine, Have Been Worn to the Oscars, and Have Been Seen on National Television. We are members of the ISGB, SRA Member #20, We participate on LE and Wet Canvas, and are members of the Etsy Glass Artists Street Team.
