Stamp Collecting Revived
During 2000, the family computer was hooked up to the Internet. Very nice, I thought, but what use is it? Then I discovered stamp auctions, and an interest that had been dormant for 25 years was revived ..........
My Collecting Interests
GB four Kings, used - my original collection, needs updating!
GB QE2 Definitives, used - I always loved the Wildings, and am beginning to warm to the Machins!
French Colonies, 20th century to Independance, mint or used - a new interest.
British Commonwealth Omnibus issues to 1953 Coronation - for some reason I find page after page of similar stamps appealing!
Topical collection 'Canals, Dams, & Locks', anything related - eBay Stamp Chat Board members inspired me to start a topical collection. I would like to hear from anybody interested in all or part of the theme, and would be happy to share my list of appropriate stamps (based on Stanley Gibbons Simplified numbers). Any information relating to items that I have missed would be most welcome.
My collecting style is somewhat haphazard, and I seem to be better at accumulating that I am at presentation. All my collections are slowly being transferred to black Hagner Stock Sheets.
September 2003, Update
I have decided to add British Commonwealth King George VI to my collections, and have acquired two well picked Stanley Gibbons albums (for mint & used) for the purpose. Should keep me busy for some time!
