Well, I am not sure what to say, so here it goes: Way back in time I was born on a small ranch in northern Nebraska. I grew up raising bucket calves, chickens, cats and few wild turkeys. Hard work was and is a way of life.
Gardening has always been a passion of mine, when I have time to enjoy it. The roses in the background of my picture are a few of my pride and joys.
After high school I became involved in retail business, namely farm and ranch supplies. This took me for the next 26 years, with managing and running a number of hardware stores. Then I chose to retire from all of that and while looking to what my next adventure would be I came upon Black Hills Gold. I could see that these items are excellent products, that only needed someone who loved them to tell people how great they are. Thus an ebay business was born. I take great pleasure in selling to such wonderful people as I meet every day on ebay. I just wished I would have known about this sooner, I may have retired years ago! <wink>

Shipping & Combined Shipping Information

Payments are processed in the order in which they are received in our shipping. Shipping occurs Monday through Saturday, excluding Holidays. Since all our items are kept in a "blank" state, your item will have to be hand detailed by a talented craftman, and put through final polish before shipment. This usually takes 3 to 5 business days. Business days, no weekends or holidays. You should receive your new item in it's gift box a few days after that.
By default, we ship by USPS mail with delivery confirmation. Delivery times depends on your location, but usually do not take over four days to a week at most. Expect delivery within 14 business days at most.
You package is insured through our in house shipping department, so you can rest assured of it's arrival.
We can ship express or overnight with an additional fee to cover our expenses.
We ship to PO Boxs and APO boxs. Some more remote places may take an extra day or two for delivery.
SHIPPING/ HANDLING RATES: You can find an item's shipping rate by viewing the information under shipping in the item's auction or But It Now listing.
For AK, HI, US Territories and APOs: Shipment will be made by USPS with delivery confirmation only - insurance is NOT available. Please allow 2 -3 additional business days for delivery.
COMBINED SHIPPING: When you win more than one auction, or Buy It Now, combination, you will receive free shipping on each additional item sent to the same address at the same time. We have an unconditional return policy on all our NEW items. If an item does not meet your satisfaction, return it within five (5) business days of receipt, we will refund your winning bid price, of course, in the very rare occasion we made a shipping mistake, you will be entitled to a refund of the shipping fee as well.
Our items carry a lifetime warranty for workmanship and for defective materials. Tarnishing of sterling silver is a natural process and is not a defect in materials

1.) What Karat of gold is your items?
Our gold items are made of 10K solid gold, with 12K green and pink gold decorations of grape leaves.
2.) What is pink and green gold?
Pink gold is an alloy of gold and copper to give it that lovely pink color. Green gold is an alloy of gold and silver that gives it that gorgeous light green color.
3.) What is White Gold?
White Gold is an alloy of gold, silver and nickel.
4.) Why do you make alloys of gold instead of using pure gold?
Pure gold, 24K, is too soft to be used for jewelry. If it was not alloyed, it would bend, scratch, stretch, and become a mess fast.
5.) What does 10K, 12K mean?
Pure gold is 24K, 10K gold has ten parts out of the 24 as pure gold, the rest is alloy metals. 12K gold has twelve parts out of the 24 as pure gold.
6.) What is Sterling Silver?
Pure silver, like gold is too soft to be used as jewelry, so sterling silver is an alloy of silver and nickel. We use the .925 high grade sterling silver. Our Sterling Silver is decorated with 12K green and pink gold grape leaves.
7.) What is an "Antiqued" gold item?
An Antiqued item is an item that has had a chemical coloring process that makes the background very dark.
8.) What is "Helenite"?
Helenite, also known as Emerald Obsidianite, is a man made stone that is made from the ash of Mt. St. Helens!
9.) What is "Pink Ice"?
Pink Ice is pink colored durable, brilliantly bright cubic zircon.
10.) What is White Zircon, and Blue Zircon?
Zircon is a man made highly durable, brilliant stone that looks remarkably like a diamond. Blue is Zircon with a chemical additive to make a wonderful blue color.
11.) What is "Mystic Fire"?
Mystic Fire is White Topaz that has been fire coated to reflect multiple colors!
12.) Are the stones in your Mothers Rings natural? What size are they?
Our gemstones are all natural except April (White Zircon) and December (Blue Zircon). All Family Jewelry has 2.5mm rounds for the stones.
13.) How do I know how the birthstone months will be arranged?
Choose the number of birthstones you want in your item, then look to the stone placement chart for that ring. It will show how the stones are arranged. You just tell us what you want in each position. For example a three stone mothers ring could be like 1st- June, 2nd- March, and 3rd- July.
