Living in Southeast Louisiana provides lots of inspiration for my paintings and drawings. Working mostly with acrylics on canvas or smooth board. My first love is painting people getting away from the traditional I experiment with color and shading. I also enjoy still life and landscape. My paintings are mix of realism and impression. Some of my smaller paintings are "daily paintings" it gives me a lot of satisfaction to be able to go from drawing to painting and completing the project in a day. When painting people it is a much longer process for me as I may make several drawing before I capture exactly what I want to portray. I love the feel of the brush on the canvas and lose a sense of time while I am working. I call this blocking out the white noise of everyday life. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
