HI all, I am Carol Maloy Kent, born and raised in Altha , Florida. I love crafts of all types.. While I was a young teenager, my Aunt Mable taught me how to crochet doilies. I had a love for those back in those days and have nice collection of them today. Decoupage was another love I did in my spare time. I used roses to cover hatbox's and any type of nice box I could find. Which I now store my cherished photos in. I moved on to clay and have not had much time to do other crafts since since my hubby brought me some up from the bottom of the Tennessee river.. I just loved the feel of it in my hands and have sculptured some wonderful figurines with it.. when I am not making my handmade kiln fired mosaic tiles, I am working out in my flower beds, playing with my 3 fur babies, Pepper, Daisy and Trixie.. I am happily married to the love of my life my hubby Randy.. We have been married 29 years this past Nov. 2008.
I love to create Mosaic flower pots, I have just added a photo of a flower pot with violets where I used my nipstix..I have done photo frames, and welcome plaques too.
Our Jan. 2009 challenge in AMVS group was a Jewelry box.
Here is my finished piece.I paid .10 cents for it at a yardsale. Hand sculptured roses by me and handpainted roses.
Sept challenge was a mosaic mirror. Here are a few photos of my finished piece.
I have recently finished a few mosaic challenges in the ebay group called AMVS.
For the month of Aug. we did a shelf challenge. Here is a photo of my finished shelf.
This was the challenge for June in AMVS ebay group. We had to mosaic a silver plated tray or wooden tray. A close up of my tray.
July was another birdhouse challenge for me in AMVS here in a ebay group. I did a wooden birdhouse my hubby made years ago. It dearly needed a new facelift. Here is my finished piece.
I was recently in a birdhouse challenge in a group called EMA for the Birds Mosaic Birdhouse Challenge . I won "Overall Favorite" in that challenge. Here is a photo.

I handmade all the tiles you see on this birdhouse and painted and fired them in my kiln.. The only thing I did not make was the birdhouse, bird and the pearls. The 3D roses and leaf were also hand sculptured by myself.
This is a BATH plaque I just finished last week. It measures 10 1/2" . I love it..
This is a photo frame I did in violets for a Photo Frame Challenge in the ebay group called A MOSAIC VIEW SOCIALTY, AMVS. It was a fun challenge.
This is a flower pot I did up on violets and used my NIPSTIX on. Love those Johnny-Jump-Ups..
