Background

Most of my activities as a seller center on machinist & mechanical tooling, automotive & machine parts, and tools in general. I have been a CNC/Manual Machinist, Mechanic and Windows 2000 Systems Administrator for over fifteen years and have decided to put that experience to work in ways outside of simply making parts and/or standard computer activities. I do my utmost to be totally honest about the products I list, their condition, and their usefulness. I realize that people in the Mechanical Trades depend on their tools and tooling for their livelihood and only sell items that I would use myself.

I have a 1985 Nissan 300ZX 2-Door Coupe, manual, non-turbo. I may acquire spare parts for Zs and list them. All parts will be described as accurately as possible.

Shipping & Handling

I do not believe in making profits on shipping and so-called handling fees. I ship via USPS Priority Mail for 90% of my items because it is the best deal for both the seller and buyer (IMHO). I no longer have carrier pickup available, so my standard flat rate for US addresses has increased to US$5.00. Most items will include a handling fee of from $1.00 to $3.00. The postal service will provide free envelopes, boxes, and packing tape so all that leaves is bubble/foam wrap and peanuts to purchase. Priority Mail postage can be printed at your desktop.

Heavy items will be shipped USPS Parcel Post. Parcel Post is not a good deal for items weighing up to about 6-8 pounds, but after that it gets cheaper than Priority pretty fast. Parcel Post requires different packaging than Priority Mail and most items will have a $3.00 handling fee attached.

Generally speaking, items that sell for more than $50.00 will have Signature Confirmation service added at my cost to shipping. This is for both my protection and for the winning bidder's. If your item will have this, I will let you know via email so it isn't a surprise when the postal carrier won't leave your item(s) without a signature.

Buyers from non-restricted countries outside the US are welcome. Payments for items sold outside the USA are accepted via PayPal Only. Standard shipping is via Global Priority Mail; some heavy items may be shipped air or surface parcel post. Surface post is not recommended. I will usually charge a US$3.00 to US$7.00 handling fee depending on packaging and paperwork. Customs declarations shall be for winning bid price exclusive of postage and handling, and most items will be declared as "Other" with a description on the CN-22 or CP-72. I will work with buyers on customs declarations as long as the declarations remain strictly to the letter of the law. Any additional taxes, fees, and/or duties shall be the responsibility of the buyer.

I will combine shipping on most items without issue, although if you expect to win an auction that ends more than three days after a current item, I ask that you email me with your intentions; this is simply a courtesy. More problems are created on eBay from lack of communication than any other reason. For US Addresses, flat rate shipping will be the highest shipping cost plus $1.00 additional for each additional item. For International Flat Rate shipping, it will generally be the highest rate plus US$3.00 additional for each additional item. Variable (Calculated) shipping discounts may vary, but I will often include small items in a larger shipment for no additional charge. Shipping discounts are subject to change, so the invoice you receive may override these terms.

Most sellers are honest about their shipping costs and charge reasonable rates. A very few are not, and the only real way to get the message across to them that this is not an acceptable practice is simply not to bid on their auctions.

Descriptions & Photos

My descriptions and photos will be of the actual items for sale unless otherwise noted. Some of my more or less standard items will utilize previously-taken photos if the photos are 100% appropriate for the items. I exhaustively research items when possible. Please contact me if you would like more photos or have any questions about any listing.

Payment & Standard Terms

Payment is due within three (3) days of auction close; in other words, 72 hours. I highly prefer PayPal as a payment method. It is fast, easy, and convenient for all. I will, in special cases, accept payment via USPS Money Order. Please email me 24 hours before the close of the auction if you wish to pay via this method. Money orders will not be accepted without prior arrangements. If you have time to bid on an auction, especially in the final few minutes, you have time to email me regarding payment arrangements.

PayPal eChecks may be held until the funds clear - usually five business days or so. PayPal will not provide address information until eChecks clear, but buyers with outstanding feedback or my repeat customers who can provide shipping information in an email will get their items shipped before eChecks clear. Buyers with feedback profiles of 26 or higher may provide an unconfirmed address. I do reserve the right to refuse to ship to unconfirmed addresses, but generally speaking I will do this as long as my other terms are met. I do strongly urge all buyers to get their alternate shipping addresses confirmed thru PayPal, either thru their Alternate Address Verification procedure, or by simply changing the billing address of a credit card and adding that to their account.

Items will be shipped within (2) two days (48 hours) of receiving payment, excluding Sundays and Holidays. However, most items will ship the same day or the next day. International shipments require a trip to the Post Office and may be delayed a day or so. I will email you when I receive payment confirmation and let you know when your item(s) will ship.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued if items fail to meet the description and/or photos posted on the listing. I cannot be responsible for misapplication of items, especially tooling or inserts; please verify that you are bidding on the correct inserts or parts for your application. I will refund bid price and shipping provided item(s) are returned within (7) days. In cases where items are damaged in shipping due to my error, or where buyer receives the wrong item, buyer's return shipping cost will also be refunded. Generally speaking, any electrical or electronic items and some mechanical items and tooling are sold as-is. As-is items will be noted in their listing. However, I will discuss refunds for these types of items if full satisfaction is not obtained.

Feedback

When I post feedback for a buyer will depend on the history of that buyer. Feedback will be dealt with on a case by case basis. Buyers who regularly post feedback for sellers and have a good reputation will often get their feedback upon confirmation of payment. For some items or for buyers who do not post feedback according to their profiles, I may withhold feedback until the buyer posts for me. 90% of eBayers are prudent about feedback and attempt to resolve conflicts thru communication before posting negatives. It is unfortunate that the remaining 10% affect the well-intentioned, and for this I do apologize. If you receive your items in good condition, please post for me. Feedback keeps eBay alive.
