WHO AM I? I was a designer in the automobile industry for 30 years. I worked as a body designer on C5 Corvette for 5 years and it was a true "labor-of-love" Since then I've taken assignments in Europe and Brazil. I am retired, but still do consulting for the world wide automotive industry. I live in my penthouse on the Detroit River. That is the location of "COX Raceway". INTEREST I'm interested in automotive design, vintage race cars, slot cars, and the future. WANTED LIST COX "DEALER DISPLAY" #0145 Six Car Ready-to-Run Grand Stand Display. Note the base follows the outline of the track. ![]() Detail of Inscription. This Trophy was donated to the Chaparral Gallery at the Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas on April 15, 2004, in the memory of Dave Fawcett. Dave was killed in a terrible accident at the "Mexican Bend" turn during that first race. The race was never finished and the trophy remained unclaimed. The track was closed to further public racing. Later that year, Jim Hall and Hap Sharp bought the property. Rattlesnake Raceway became the private domain of Chaparral Cars and you know the rest of the story. ![]() ![]() Favorite Links PROFESSOR MOTOR (The BEST Slot Page on the Web) PETROLEUM MUSEUM (Chaparral Museum)
