Variety of Comfy Cottage Candles in Soy

I'd like to introduce myself. I am a crafter, sewer,  entrepreneur and Grandma.  In my Comfy Cottage on a Northern Indiana lake we make hand poured soy candles.  "Go to the Internet with your candles!" is what we kept hearing.  That was a start but as I have gotten onto eBay and learned more from OSI Rock Stars and eBay education, I have found I need to expand! 

 I have a long time love of sewing and crafts so that is my natural way to expand.  Rubber stamping is a new hobby I picked up this past year - great activity for all ages and either sex!  I carry several Stampin' Up rubber stamps - the stamp shelf over floweth.  Most of the craft supplies I sell are new, unused.  I found the neatest  little iron and sewing machine for craft projects and so easy to carry around.  The line of handmade papers I found that are made into albums for photos or scrapbooking are devine!  These botanical albums have so many uses and each is unique.  I am a Grandma - I think almost every child in the USA has way too many toys - but are they the toys they can learn and grow with.  I think toys should be fun and educational.  Even a fuzzy soft Webkinz teaches social skills and computer skills.  As things progress and move on I have found that maybe a better area is to conserve our world. My store has become Comfy Cottage Conservation.

We have a wonderful world to live in with so much beauty around us.  At the moment I look out my window and see the  Maple trees with their bright green leaves and the sun sparkling through. I think the best thing we can do for our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or the child you are mentoring is give them the desire to use their creativity and natural curiousity.  Get them outdoors, play in the sand, roll in the grass, teach them to enjoy nature and being active.  Help them to stop and watch the bug running under the leaves, the bee getting that last drop of necter from a flower, or the turtles climbing on the seawall.  The colors of our environmentally friendly, all natural soy candles are inspired by the colors of nature.  No neons there! 

I have had some great teachers helping me with setting up an eBay store, Comfy Cottage Conservation.  The first major influence has been Janelle Elms with the OSI RockStars where I have had numerous hours of classes and guidance in setting up a store, listing to improve sales, keywords. and the training goes on daily.  Skip McGrath has also been an inspiration through his newsletter, blogs, and podcasts.   Seth Godin is an inspiration with his 'out of the box' line of thought. Squidoo is a marvel! Fun and educational all wrapped into one. On top of that a great marketing tool.

The best thing we can learn and remember is that Change is inevitable. We can choose to accept or reject that change. We can choose the attitude we have about the changes going on. But over all - if we keep doing things the way we have been doing them there will be no change.  As individuals we will not grow and as a world we will run out of resources.  My focus in my eBay store is that we should be creative, conserve our resources, reuse and work for a greener world.
