Dagel's Street Rods had been selling parts since the mid 80's. In 1993 Gary Dagel decided to move his hot rod shop to Orange, California from Montana. It has been a great decision both professionally and personally. The street rod industry in California continues to evolve and grow and we at Dagel's have tried to keep up with the trends. We are thrilled with our venture into the manufacturing area of Street Rodding and with our Model A products getting rave reviews we think we have really hit on a much needed product line.

Currently the big trend is the nostalgic rod or "rat" rod. These modern car builders are looking at those great rods of the 50's and 60's for their inspiration. At Dagel's one of our current project cars is a Model A truck that we are building in this "new" nostalgic style.

Another project car is a 63 Pontiac that, although modernized with air suspension is still going to retain its classic look. And of course we all have personal projects we fit in to our busy schedule. We are usually working on approximately 13 customers cars at the same time as building our pet projects.   

Gary Dagel has been building cars for over 40 years starting when he was just a little tyke handing his father wrenches in their Automatic Transmission business back in the 50's. Gary soon grew to love cars and started building his first car at an early pre-teen age. Gary could always be counted on to have the hottest ride in school, in fact, Gary was most remembered at his 20yr high school reunion as the guy with all the cool cars.
