Korean written language is unique in the world.
Originally similar to the Chinese system of characters,
the current phonetic alphabet was developed in 1443 by a group of scholars. Because the writing system was developed after the oral language,
it is very logical and easy to use, and Korean literacy rates are over 97%.
Seoul is a
buyer's paradise.
The two largest wholesale markets each have over 10,000 shops and stalls!
