Okay. I've been here for quite a while now. And I would like to come to my own defense and also explain a few things about the way that I do things.
My own defense: First of all, one thing that I know and most everyone else on ebay knows. We are all human. If you pay me or I pay you with PayPal, this does not guarantee that what you are paying for will be in the post office the next day. Sometimes it may take a few days. I was accused of something taking 2 weeks (I don't think it did, but it is possible). But, I do my best to get it there fast. And, on the other side of that. If I win something, and pay with PayPal right away. I would hope that I would have it within a reasonable amount of time. And if it is going to take a while (ie. 3 weeks), It would be kind of nice for you to let me know.
SHIPPING CHARGES: This seems to be an ongoing issue with lots of people. I charge a flat fee for my shipping charge. This covers everything involved with getting your package to you. Everything from Clear Tape to the Packing Peanuts that I actually have to buy (sometimes, and they are expensive), I don't believe that I make any money on shipping. And if I charge you, and it turns out to be considerably less than that, i'll be happy to refund you the difference, and i've done that. And on the other side of that coin, i've taken a hit on it, and not asked for extra because I screwed up (I did once, and caught myself before I got a response from my customer, and then I told them to never mind, I screw up, i'll take care of it, they were very gracious and said they would meet me half way, and I said no. I appreciated the offer, and I know they did to, but the answer was still, no..).
Anyway, I do my best to strictly use the United States Post Office, Priority Mail, or First Class, & Media Mail ONLY! When I first started this, I shipped a Mug to a gentleman in Maine. And I used Parcel Post, wrong thing to do! First of all, being as I live in Southern Wisconsin, everything shipped Parcel Post from here, goes through Chicago. Chicago is a clearing house for the U.S.P.S., and it sits there for a while, and then if you are lucky, it will get on the right truck going the right direction. Well, this Mug ended up in the wrong bin. When he received it just shy of a Month later, it had post marks on it from (I think these are correct) Oregon, Colorado, Alabama, and then on to Maine. And the longer they have it, the greater chance of damage.
SHIPPING INSURANCE: (U.S. only) is completely up to you. I do my best to prevent damage (i.e.: over kill packaging). In the years that i've been doing this, i've only had to assist in one claim. And i've only been informed of about 3 packages that were damaged, and as far as I can tell, it was because of a real rough postal carrier.
The way that I do things: I believe that you should get what you pay for. Most times you do, but... well you know. I do my best to do the research on everything that I put up here. I've received emails on some of the stuff that i've sold, and if I have something posted that isn't what I think it is and you let me know that. That makes me very happy, and helps me believe that we still know how to help each other out. And, yes. When I can and I know from my research, i'll come and help someone else out too. Anyway, i'm straying... Like I said, I do my best to get your winnings out to you in a very timely manner. I've got years of shipping and receiving experience and I work in an auto parts store that is connected directly to an auto parts warehouse. So, I get a great deal on boxes (FREE!!) and packing materials.
What I'm going to be changing: Not much. I'm still going to be finding and offering some of the coolest stuff that I can. And when I am not having much luck finding cool stuff, well i'm going to be putting up some of the not so cool stuff. But, you all know that the beauty is truely in the eyes of the beholder. And if I don't think that it is the coolest thing that i've ever seen, well you may.
I hope this will help you understand me a wee bit more. I'm a wisconsin-ite, born and raised. I was raised to be a good, honest and hard working person. And I got 2 out of the 3, lol.... I do like hard work though, I find it fascinating. I can watch it for hours... :)
And, last but not least. Check out all of my auctions, You never know what I may come up with. And neither do I. I have a mother that I help depleat of lots of her little packratish (her word) collections. She has lots of stuff, and so do I. And there is a friend of mine that I have put a couple of things on too. And, if you are watching an auction, and happen to miss the ending. Let me know, and i'll relist it for you. I've done it before, and I will do it again.
Anyway, as I said. I've been here for some time now. And i've sold you tons of really fun stuff. And there is plenty more where that came from. Mugs, Shot Glasses, HRC Glass, Toys, And lots more. But, sorry, no Kitchen Sink, or Soup or nuts.....
