Domestic Devices got it's start from the experiences of representing new, innovative and entrepreneurial companies in the consumer electronics, house wares, lawn and garden, apparel and hardware industries. Over a period of ten years we had worked with over 95 brand new companies helping bring their creative products to market, setting up distribution channels and working with management to define marketing and advertising initiatives. Along the way there was the good fortune of teaming up with one of the graduates of New York's famous Fashion Institute of Technology who at the time was also the buyer for Fashion Apparel and Fashion Accessories at the nations premier retailer, that being Bloomingdales. A move to Minnesota created an opportunity for her to become the buyer at ShopNBC, the TV home shopping channel and then progressing to become the buyer at one of the largest direct catalog companies in America who produced several catalogs at the time called Signals and Wireless. Target bought these catalogs along with the company and shortly thereafter a move was made to join Staples as their Product Manager in charge of a new division handling practice supplies and furniture. In the interim one of the twin cities Fortune 500 companies made their debut into the world of e-commerce where she stepped into the product manger's position heading the product assortment for this initiative. It was through a combination of these combined experiences, retail background, merchandising, e-commerce development and product management that Domestic Devices has taken it's form.

Our sales philosophy today is the same one used over a period of fifteen years and is very simple... know your market … know your products... know your customer needs... and bring these all together in the most well-organized way possible, in the most efficient time frame and with the best possible price and service. This may sound overly simplified, yet implementing this business framework requires a conscientious on-going effort along with constant follow through. Our livelihood depends upon acquiring the best manufacturers with new and innovative products that will be both attractive and desirable for our existing and emerging customer base as well as allow us to pursue additional opportunities with new customers and markets. We also feel strongly that it's important to treat customers the same why we would want to be treated.
