Well, I'm finally getting around to do a quick update to this page! It's Christmas Eve, 2005 (Erev Yom Yeshua), and I have Christmas and Chanukkah wrapping to do, so why I'm sitting here at the computer is beyond me!!!! But I just wanted to say that Elizabeth and I saw "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" on opening day, December 9, 2005. It was terrific!!! Although it hasn't displaced my premier favorite, "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy", it is a great movie and you can see the influence of the LOTR on this movie.
Elizabeth and I are avid fans of JRR Tolkein. We absolutely loved the first movie of the trilogy "The Fellowship of the Ring" by Peter Jackson, and can't wait for "The Two Towers" to come out this December 18th! Since then, we have purchased the FOTR Soundtrack, The Hobbit Unabridged on CD narrated by Rob Inglis, The Fellowship of the Ring Unabridged, (which we are listening to now and are enjoying tremendously). We also have The Return of the King Unabridged on CD. All of these we purchased on eBay. I just got The Two Towers Unabridged, also narrated by Rob Inglis. So now we have the complete set. I ended up paying more for The Two Towers than I wanted to, but the bidding has been fierce for this set, maybe because this is the movie that is coming out in December. We think that Rob Inglis has done a fantastic job in narrating the story. You should hear the way he does the voice of Gollum!! We also wanted the unabridged version because it is complete. Someday, I'm going to read along with the CDs just to make sure that all the words are there!
Something I feel compelled to mention is that we were watching Fourth Of July Fireworks this year, and I couldn't help remembering September 11th. All I could think about was that there were 3000 less Americans to enjoy the fireworks this year...
We will NOT forget...
It's funny, but I've been on this quest to recapture my childhood, and I am searching for the LPs that I had as a kid, and have since lost, through moves and flooded basements! One of my most sought after, has been "Indian Reservation" by Paul Rever and the Raiders! That was the first LP I got from eBay! I also got a pre-Monkees David (Davey) Jones LP and a Living Language course on 4 LPs that I have wanted for a long time! The search continues...
Most recently, I have found some fantastic resources on eBay for information regarding the "911 Truth Movement" and how and why the "Official" story given in the 9/11 Commission's official report "collapses" in on itself, because it just can't stand up to the facts!
I am also amazed at what I've seen on the Internet that supports the "Official" Myth (referred to as the "debunking" of the 911 conspiracy theories) and the personal, verbal attacks (not scholarly debates) perpetrated by those who accept as fact, the Official "Conspiracy Theory", against those who question the "Official" Myth's validity and reality! After all, it is NOT un-American to question what doesn't make sense!
The easiest solution is to open a new investigation into the events on that day that changed our nation and the world (i.e.: what caused the collapses of WTC1, WTC2 and WTC7?; what does surveillance video show that flew into the Pentagon?; and what was in the crater in Shanksville, PA that required haz-mat suites to be worn by the first responders?). Also, this investigation must not be performed or hampered by those who would stand to gain from a cover-up nor government "insiders", but by qualified, independent, credentialed scientists and law enforcement authorities who could insure compliance (through subpoenas and other LEGAL means) so that the truth can be determined and revealed.
