We started the ranch in 1995 with high hopes, lots of dreams and very little to work with. Progress at times seemed so slow that my husband dubbed the ranch 'The Lazy D'. Our dreams may have progressed slowly, but they are surely comming true, hence the final name of our home, "Lazy Dream Ranch".
We wanted to have a small working horse ranch that was as self-supporting as possible in today's economy. We did not have dreams of being big or fancy...just good, with a darn good reputation. We currently raise, train and show our own Foundation Appaloosa horses and promote Natural Horsemanship and Native American Indian Belief Systems. Should you find yourself interested in knowing more about us, our horses, and our ranch, please visit our website (click on the Lazy Dream Ranch link at the bottom of this page under 'Favorite Links') and take a tour as we'd love to have you visit. Please don't forget to stop and sign in the Guest Book and let us know you were there.
HAPPY TRAILS....
When we sell an item on eBay we also like to leave positive feedback as well as have it received in like manner. We have a policy of leaving feedback only after fund transfers are completed and the item has been shipped. If you fail to respond to our emails, make timely payment, or fail to complete a transaction without just cause, we will be forced to leave negative feedback and file the appropriate claims.
We try to the utmost of our ability to be an honest buyer/seller and expect you to be an honest seller/buyer so that eBay can remain the venue it was created to be.
As to the condition of the items we sell on eBay, the following conditions apply:
NEW IN BOX
- means that it is a item in the original box, is something we aquired and has never been used before.
GREAT CONDITION
- means that it has been slightly used and is in like-new to great condition and may or may not come in the original packing in which it was received.
GOOD CONDITION
- means that it has been used and is in good working/wearing condition. Any imperfections or defects that we are aware of will be noted in the description of the auction item being sold as honestly as we are aware of.
HANDCRAFTED
- means just that, "Handcrafted". We love to sew, build and craft and have several friends who do as well. Over our years of crafting we have had many people ask us to make them something that we were making for someone else or desire another color or pattern and it is very overwhelming to craft the same things over and over again. We do it for fun or to occupy our time and maybe earn a little extra cash for having done it. So to eliminate becomming a factory putting out specific products for a certain period of time, those items that we craft are put up for sale as they become available. We will no longer take special orders for certain patterns or colors. What you see is what you will get should you chose to bid.
"AS IS" CONDITION
- means just that, you are bidding on the item in 'as is' condition and are accepting the item as described.
As an honest seller, we give the best description possible with any appropriate measurements included. Measurements given for clothing are as follows: CHEST - circumference around the bust (chest) area; SLEEVES - from the top of the shoulder seam to the edge of the sleeve cuff; WAIST - circumference around the waist; LENGTH OF TOP/SHIRT/COAT - from the bottom of the collar seam to the bottom edge of the garmet at the center of the back; LENGTH OF SKIRT/DRESS - from the waist to the bottom edge of the hemline; INSEAM - from the crotch seam to the bottom edge of the pant leg; OUTSEAM - from the top of the waist to the bottom edge of the pant leg. We do not have a dressing room, so please DOUBLE CHECK your measurements prior to bidding. If you have questions, please email us PRIOR to bidding as ALL SALES ARE FINAL unless otherwise noted. The only time we will issue a refund is with prior approval (at which time you would receive a refund authorization code) or if the item were insured, and then not until you have received a refund authorization code directly from us or all claims are settled in regards to the insuring parties. We are not a brick and mortar store and we do not have a warehouse and only sell items we no longer wish to keep, use or store at our ranch.
We are constantly adding new items to our auction list, so please check with us often to see what's been added. Also, items requiring relisting are sometimes done so at a discounted rate - so that's all the more reason to check our auctions often!
We will typically use the US Postal Service or UPS for shipping and although shipping may not always be noted in the description of the item, it should be included in our final invoicing. We try to quote USPS Priority Mail rates, however since we are not a shipping company, we reserve the right to ship items via the shipper/method of our choice, depending on the size and weight of final packaging. Winning bidders MUST include shipping/handling charges when payment is rendered or your item will not be shipped until we have received payment for shipping/handling. Insurance is in addition to shipping/handling and is optional, unless otherwise noted, and likewise, must be remitted together with your winning bid amount prior to shipment. IF YOU DO NOT INSURE YOUR BID ITEM, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS ONCE AN ITEM IS SHIPPED. ALL LOST OR DAMAGED CLAIMS PAID AFTER SETTLEMENT OF ALL INSURING PARTIES. Delivery confirmation costs are included in all shipping/handling charges, currently $0.65 via USPS, as we require proof of shipping on all items shipped. We are happy to combine shipping on more than one bid item going to the same address from our auctions, HOWEVER, EMAIL US FIRST FOR COMBINED SHIPPING COSTS BEFORE MAKING PAYMENT, as we will not refund shipping costs once payment is made.
We prefer PayPal payment or USPS money orders but will accept other forms of payment. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT VERIFIED PAYPAL ACCOUNTS. We will only take personal checks with a feedback rating of 25 or more and you must have a zero (0) negative feedback within the past six months and be an eBay member longer than ninety (90) days. Personal checks will be held 10 business days or until funds have cleared our bank prior to shipping. We ask all winning bidders to PLEASE COMPLETE CHECKOUT REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU WILL BE SUBMITTING PAYMENT as this creates a record for us to ship your item from and gives you the opportunity to advise us of any requests/additional information. We require all winning bidders to respond within three (3) days from the close of auction or we will assume you are not a serious bidder and be forced to relist the bid item on the fourth (4th) day of no response and submit negative feedback. Payment is expected within ten (10) days from the close of auction or we will assume you are not a serious bidder and be forced to relist the bid item on the eleventh (11th) day of non-payment and to submit negative feedback and appropriate claims.
We live out of town in the country, and we also live in snow country, so we only go to the post office on Mondays and sometimes on Thursdays. As a result of only going to town once or twice a week and the nature of our weather patterns, we ask you to please be patient in receiving your bid item. If you have not received your bid item within a reasonable amount of time from the close of the auction (within one to two weeks depending upon the method of payment and shipping), please email us and we will try to locate the problem.
Well folks, I'm sure there is something that we have not covered or a question you may still have - - - - but we will all learn as we go along, and the learning can be a pleasant experience for everyone if we continue to communicate throughout the entire process, even if we happen to encounter bumps along the way. The one and only negative feedback rating we have ever received was when we first became a seller and was due to an automatic logo insertion into our listing that we were not aware of and seriously upset the customer. No matter how we tried to correct this problem (We still keep that stack of emails to always remind us that no matter what you do for some people it won't be right!) we were apparently just wrong in their eyes and couldn't do anything right to correct the problem ~ even the refund wasn't good enough. So...the lesson we learned there was that we can not please all the people all the time so we just try to make it a policy to let everyone know we are all human at all times and that communication is the most important thing to both successful buying and selling.
UPDATE: MARCH 28, 2008
We have done a bit of purchasing once in a while, but lately we have done very little listing....In fact, it has been quite some time since we have listed any bid items and, whoa....TONS and TONS of things have changed and it is taking me a whole new set of lessons in making our listing look right/nice. We are SLOWLY getting there, but in the interium, PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US, KNOW THAT WE ARE ALL HUMAN AND MOST OF ALL PLEASE COMMUNICATE.
