My husband also sells on eBay. His userid is potluckantiques. We have been in the antique business for almost 30 years. We no longer own East Town Antique Mall, having sold it in 2004. However, we still keep a large presence in the mall via the number of booths we have there.
The new collectibles I am selling on eBay are from old stock that did not sell by the time we sold our antique mall. Many of the pieces I will be selling on eBay in the coming months have never been out of their box. If they were on display at the mall, the items I have left to sell were all displayed under glass. Our practice is to discard damaged items, therefore, you will not find any damaged items for sale by me. The boxes they come in may be discolored but if they are, I will note that in the auction.
We built our reputation on our honesty and our willingness to work with our customers whenever something went awry during a business transaction. It is a practice we both continue today on the internet.
