What is a scrapbook? Why make one? Does our family have enough toriesto make an interesting scrapbook? The answers are simple.
The craft of family history, scrapbooking is the crafters of today what quilting was to the crafters of yesterday. All families deserve to have their treasured memories kept alive and every family has more than enough stories to make an interesting book.
We all have stories to tell simply by being alive. The stories are special because they are ours. And it is the collection of our stories that brings forms and focus to our memories.
The ideas and techniques needed to create professional-looking scrapbooks are unlimited. You can choose to arrange your scrapbook pages by theme (Weddings, baby books, school years, pets, vacations, seasons, heritage albums, holidays and more).
With a little imagination, a little patience, a few photographs and a plan as simple or elaborate as you wish, anyone can make an appealing scrapbook. Take the time to gather photos, a good album, some scissors, glue, decorative materials and set yourself up as the family historian. You will have fun in the process, and probably learn a lot about yourself and your family. Have fun! And don be afraid to experiment.
