On the way to work one winter day in 1991, driving up route 413,  I was trying to decide on the name for my new shop. There are quite a few shops that have done very well named after their founders. I was working at Behlert's Gun Shop for more than 4 years, so I had a great head start on what I did and did not want to do. From the beginning I knew I wanted to do some things differently. I had no desire to be in the basement of a house with the occasional Customer stopping in or the UPS driver. I wanted the input of other Machinists and Gunsmith's to come up with better Parts and concepts that I could not do on my own. The gun work was Evolving every year with improvments in parts accuracy reliability and ergonomics. Thus was the beginning of Evolution Gun Works, designed to take advantage of the synergy created by 3, 4 or 5 people working together each bringing their own experience to the table.

Within a year, we were Fortunate to have the cover and feature story in American Handgunner Magazine. In 2004 we move from our rented Doylestown, Pa., location to our own building located at 48 Belmont Ave. Quakertown, Pa., 18951. We continue to be Blessed with more work than we can do and selling our own line of parts on Ebay and to several National Distributors. Today we count ourselves Honored to make OEM parts for companies like S&W, SIG arms, Detonics, Tubbs, Koenig and 30 other smaller shops all over the U.S.
