Welcome One and All!

The English Robin...How my business got its name...
Have you ever seen an English robin? They're delightful little birds, very different in size and appearance from our American robins. (See my painting to the right.) I saw my very first one in 1999 when I went on a trip to the UK. I am not from Merry ol' England myself, but I have a great love for the beautiful homeland of my ancestors. (If you share this same love for Europe, feel free to e-mail.) Since childhood (after reading The Secret Garden), I had a desire to see a real robin redbreast. When I saw one on my trip to the UK, I realized that dreams really do come true. It had long been a dream of mine to open my own business, so when I did, I called it "The English Robin." The English Robin officially opened its doors for business in 2001.

A bit about myself
I am proud to be a Virginia Tech HOKIE! I earned my BFA in Studio Art from VT and I also earned my Master of Art in Teaching. I absolutely love being an art teacher for two of the best schools in the world! In my free time (which is rare, but does come up every now and then) I love to draw, paint, sculpt, illustrate, craft...YOU NAME IT! I'm a published children's book illustrator, and I do graphic and website design. Please check out my personal site. The link is on the right. Oh, yes...and I'm WILD about EBAY, too!!! :0) I'm happy to buy and sell online and have met some terrific and honest folks out there. I'll be listing things on here from time to time as my own inventory is liquidated. I describe my items as accurately as possible.
