I grew up in a time when men in white hats could be trusted and movie stars didn't let it all "hang out". They were glamorous and beautiful! Cracker Jacks boxes came stuffed with REAL toys you could keep in your treasure box and summer vacations lasted forever. Anyone could be Queen for a Day!!
I was an only child and my mom gave me her old costume jewelry to play with. I spent hours and hours transforming myself with baubles and beads, rhinestones and crystal! No longer was I a skinny little kid with knobby knees and hair in my eyes. I could be Loretta Young or Sheena Queen of the Jungle when I looked in the mirror. I was BEAUTIFUL!
Well, now I'm 60+ years old and have two grown sons. I spend hours at the computer and usually am dressed in sweats! I don't go to gala events or country club dances. I watch football on TV with my wonderful husband and cheer loudly for the Jaguars every Sunday. My life is very "middle aged". Still....when I try on a pair of Kramer of New York glitzy earrings or drape a Weiss aurora rhinestone necklace around my throat, I'm transformed. I become glamorous and beautiful. I'm no longer 35 pounds overweight and my hair doesn't need to be cut...and just for that moment when I look into the mirror, I still believe anyone can be Queen For a Day!
I know a lot of you can relate to that feeling and long for that glamour. I have so much jewelry to share...and hope that in offering it to you I can brighten up all our lives!
